Anyone Play Wilson Staff Balls?

I got a free trial of some Wilson Staff Zip golf balls this weekend. Like the way they played, but I've also seen Wilson Staff Tx4's at the golf shop in town. I normally play Titleist NXt's or sometimes play Srixon's. Just seeing if anyone has played either of these 2 Wilson Staff Balls. Any ideas on which is better?

Very different balls imo, i like the Tx4 but they are hard to find in my area. The zip is a good low compression ball that i plan on using in October or late September when the temps drop. What srixon do you play? That will tell a lot about which of these you might like. They are both quality balls. Check the reviews, see what sounds more to your liking.

I've played the AD-333 and I also played some Z-URC's. I liked the AD-333's just seeing if Wilson makes something similar. So would it be the Zip's? I want a long ball, but good spin on 100 yard in shots. I might just rotate between Wilson and Srixon.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Tx4. Its eems to do everything right. It behaves off the driver, and spins plenty when necessary.

Tx4 is a great golf ball, unfortunately Wilson has little market presence and their golf ball is overlooked. It would help if their staffers would put the ball in play.

The only drawback to the Tx4 is the durability. From my experience, the ball seem to cut up faster vs. Nike One, Srixon Z-UR, Titleist ProV, etc...

As far as distance, spin and feel, it is right there with major names at a lower price point...

Yeah I'm gonna grab a sleeve of each and run a trial. Play one sleeve the front 9, the other the back 9. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ran both a sleeve of Zip's on the front and played the back with a sleeve of Tx4 Pro's......they were both good balls, but wasn't really impressed to much with the Zip. It gave me the right trajectory, but couldn't really get it to spin around the green when i was chipping. The Tx4 Pro's were great, but i lost some distance on my drives and my longer irons.....could've been me probably. I'm still going to do some research until I find the right ball for me.

Bought two dozen Tx4 Tour balls and tried them out last week. Distance and spin was just fine. However, putting or less than full shots were too clicky. The ball felt very hard. With the first one I used I planned on taking my PVC pipe cutter and splitting the ball in two just to see what was on the inside. By the way, this is a great tool for the job and my boys really like having me cut open old golf balls for them. I just could not accept it has a urethane cover and four piece ball. Never happened becuase I lost it.

I played (and passed) my P.A.T. (players' ability test) for the PGA of America using TX4's. Those balls are awesome, and they are way cheaper than the big names. I have yet to try the Tx Tours.

As far as I know the Tx4 Tour is the same ball as the Tx4 "improved" (as can be seen on the top left corner og the black packaging). Simply different packaging.

I could have sworn that I replied to this, but it was either deleted or I didn't hit add reply.

Being a W/S guy, I really, really, really, really (did I say really?) want to like the Tx4's, but I just didn't. My initial reaction was that I hated the sound of the ball off the driver. However, if the ball performed anything like the ProV1x or the TP Black I could have looked past it. Unfortunately the Tx4 was significantly shorter than the two balls I mentioned and it seemed to spin considerably more off the driver.

That's about the same review I had on them.

For $10 (what I snagged a box for) I figured they were worth about that, but I'd much much rather play a Tour iX, B330S, Z-URS/C, or just about any other premium ball.

As much as I like the Tx4, I was really disappointed with the Px3, bought a dozen and gave them away.
