FootJoy Golf Sandals on the cheap!

Stumbled upon a smoking deal for Foot Joy golf sandals...tons of sizes too.

Im 31, but I've been feeling like a growth spurt is coming on so I even order a second pair one size up. Figured I could always ebay them for a profit if my feet don't grow anymore. These have a sick draw cord to tighten, if you're running late to the tee. Plus, they're FootJoy so you know they're good on/off the course. I've gone through a couple pair of these over the years and they simply can't be beat.

 

Anyways, I love when people pass on good deals on high quality products, so I figured I'd do the same.

I wouldn't think golf sandals would be practical. Do you wear socks with them? Do you play in damp or rainy conditions? How about sand trap play? What about traction. I've never researched golf sandals but it seems like a gimmick to me.

I have a pair and use them from time to time, mostly cart golf when it is really hot, or for a casual practice session.

I also played 9 hole in flip flops a few times per year so I am not the guy to give advice on this.

Great questions!

Absolutely I wear socks, and to avoid chaffing around the ankle straps the socks need to be a little tall.
But don't for a second think Im wearing white socks, I always wear some cool black ones. I understand how bad white socks and sandals can look.

I'll play if it's a little damp, but if its raining the wife won't let me do outside "fun time." So I can't help with how the performance would be in the rain. I can only imagine it's better than most of the other big bulky shoes I see posers wearing at the local course I belong to. Sand is a little bit of a challenge to be honest. I usually walk gentle and flat footed and don't dig down in like the tour pros do. Blast it out, rake the mess only if it was a decent shot, and continue on the mission.

Traction is superb with the spiked version I linked.

I play with a guy that plays in camo Crocs. It doesn't matter if it's wet or cold. No socks, just slip-ons and he'll shoot 75. Drives me crazy. lol

But a Champions Tour pro many years ago (forget his name) wore golf sandals ... so in theory there could be tour issue golf sandals. Then they'd get love around here, especially if paired with a Kiyoshi X-stiff walking stick.

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they arrived! I called in sick today to the buffet where I work just to wait for them. I feel like a dangerous criminal for how cheap I "stole" these for!

My wife thinks I'm silly but I'm sleeping in the smaller pair tonight. They are surprisingly sexy without socks. (If that's inappropriate language on the forum please let me know).

I hope she lets me play golf this month. I can't wait to rip around in them.
