Anyone ever putt with one?

 

Any good? My friend has one that is at least a 9/10, and he isn't playing much at all due to work/back issues. He will sell it for a little better than what it is worth (basically a little better than ebay prices).

 

Any experiences are appreciated.

I've putted with one. They're alright, but nothing special. They're a little softer feeling than a manganese bronze Anser.

 

Some of them go for quite a lot on Ebay ($150+), and I don't think they're worth that kind of money when you can get a used Redwood Anser, Mizuno Bettinardi, or Cameron for a comparable price.

They are also quite heavier than a MnBr Anser, correct?

 

And you are right, they go for $150+ (usually around $200 from what I have seen).

 

If they aren't very different than the MnBr Anser, I may pick up a cool Bobby Grace NGK Anser model.

Really nice putters. Used to own one. Sold it. Regretted it.

 

The head is very heavy - don't know the weight but felt about 360g - and feels very solid. The Ti pixels certainly feel better than my magneze bronze Zing. It's also one of the best looking putters Ping have ever made in my opinion. I think the fact Di Marco used it for so many years says a lot.

 

If you have a chance to get one in good condition, go for it!

I have a TiNi Sedona F and I like it quite a bit, it is true that I am sure you can find comparable putters elsewhere but that is life in the putter and golf club world there are many models that are all very similar.

 

What is your question exactly? Are they a good putter? Will your buddy let you putt with it? What do you think of the feel? I find that the closest similar feeling ping is probably the redwood. If you sink putts with it I say go for it one hundred percent!

I have mine at about 33.5" with a little Pingman Blackout grip at the moment, I like it as its heavier than other ping models. You really need to try it, if you mate is asking that sort of money.

Personally I think they are worth there money as they are a bit special (in a Ping kind of way). Also the titanium is a nice feel, I have been playing a titanium putter for a year so it isn't very different but it depends what putter you are coming from. It could be a major transformation or uninspiring.

 

Does it have a 4 digit serial number on the heel side of the face? Not that it matters just trying to get a picture different types of Silicone bronze Anser F Ti’s they produced.

 

But as people have mentioned you really need to trying it.

I've got one. It makes it's way into the bag every so often. The first hole I ever played with it, I sunk a 30-footer for eagle, so you can't very well sell it after that. I think it's one of the best offerings ever from Ping, and I've tried a LOT of them. I'd agree that the feel is similar to a Redwood.

On a side note- mine does not have the numbering on the face. I've always been curious about what the difference is between the numbered and non-numbered versions???

If I remember right, the first year run of those were all numbered 1-2500...these had a nickel alloy pixels, and were spendy, then they came out the next year or so at a lower price point, and with different pixels...

Nickel Pixels thats interesting I always thought it was Titanium. Mine has the 4 digit code on the face not that it makes much difference unless the later ones had some other insert, Either way its very soft springy feel.

You're both right--nickel-titanium alloy pixels for the limited Isoforces in a silicon-bronze head (later an aluminum in manganese bronze combo, followed by a copper-pixeled stainless release).

Thanks for clearing that up. I had a later bronze- aluminium one as well, and didn't think much of it TBH.
