Does anyone know the 716 Pre-Order Ship Date?

With respect, components including heads should have been coming through from Asia well before the Hurricane. They don't leave it all until the last week before launch to start the process of component stocking and pre order fulfilment.

As an example of that. Hurricane Patricia reached peak intensity on Oct 23rd, whilst Titleist had sent their Demo kits out to their fitters 2-3 weeks before that, many of those Demo kits did not have the full compliment of heads sent with them 2 weeks before the height of 'Patricia'.

Sorry, but 'Patricia' should have had no effect at all on the component levels that should have already been at Titleist by the time she hit.

Ordered my 716 AP2's 4-W and an 816 H1 hybrid on 10/2 after a fitting with the local Titleist rep at my club. Stock standard specs save +1/2" over standard length on the irons. 816H1 (stock length) showed up 2 weeks ago. AP2's came in yesterday... but without the gap wedge. Weird. Never ordered from Titleist before but seems they've had a few hiccups with this release.

I received notice today that my irons are en route. I should have a tracking number by tomorrow and I estimate delivery by Tues/Wed of next week if they are coming from the left-coast.

So another conversation with Titleist today ON SPEAKERPHONE at my local retailer. Titleist backline support.

Now the TMB 4 iron (with basic AMT shaft +1/2") if backordered until January. This is the fourth bump in estimated "get well date". They estimate the 5 iron head should be here next week but no guarantees.

TItleist tells me that they are fulfilling orders as they come in and I explain that I ordered in September and I know a guy that got his MOTO TMB full set in 3 weeks - ordering AFTER me. He had no comment other than "January".

Titleist won't let my retailer cancel the order because Titleist fullfilled half my set. My retailer cannot take them back from me for a refund because I don't have all the irons yet.

Fascinating situation.

So my order from September MIGHT be complete next year. But they are sending me individual irons as they make them.

I find one thing funny - My Callaway Apex Hybrid that i ordered last week - which isn't slated for official release until DECEMBER 4, is already at my house and in my bag.

I really feel for you station2station. I ordered my 4-p on 10/16 and got my full order yesterday. No blemishes or any other issue.

I did hit them today and I absolutely love them. They are very beautiful and I can tell they are slightly more forgiving than my 710cbs. I'm just super excited to FINALLY have them.

I ordered my 716 ap2's with c taper lite's 11/7 and they are scheduled to be delivered Monday 11/15 by the end of the day. Unfortunately I have a 8:00am flight Monday and won't be home till thanksgiving.

Jeez! Sounds like something out of Monty Python. I mean if it wasn't happening to a fellow member, I'd say it was almost funny. I'm just so relieved that I ditched the whole idea of getting involved in these, perhaps isolated debacles and became a 'Stoner' instead. I was almost tempted to go back to Titleist to rekindle something with them as far as ordering a T-MB and 816 hybrid, but if occurrences like this are still happening I think I'll look elsewhere. I know that some people don't like hearing a members' negative experiences, but I think it's also important to be open and give rounded experiences, even if some of them maybe negative.

I altered my order FROM a combo set of CB/TMB to full CB to expedite actually getting a set of Irons before 2016.

I've been told by TItleist that the CB long irons have now shipped. I have no tracking info but I have no reason to think won't be here by Wednesday of next week.

So let's close my situation down.

On october 21st DD's said my irons were looking to ship on october 30th, the tour issue AMT shafts causing the delay. I checked in on them on 11/4 and they responded the next day that they were waiting on heads so it should ship the next tues/wed(10th or 11th). nothing. emailed back on the 18th and he said that they should ship out the 20th. havent gotten any shipping notifications yet. Its getting annoying, but its not like i could be playing right now so whatever. I know its not Dan's but Titleist rather. I just hate the run-around.

That lil upcharge is about $20-25 per shaft!
It went up a few weeks ago from about $15 per.

It went up a few weeks ago from about $15 per.[/quote] I'm guessing everybody was doing it. Lol what's an extra 160-190 when you're already dropping 1200 on irons lol

My set of AP2s were very nice as were the MBs, but now back to my Epons. Blowing that much money on a set of irons they better feel and perform better (real or imagined driven by $ spent)

I got the TI upgrade for a 3-PW set for $100. but i still dont have my clubs.
