What winter gloves?

I'm looking at getting some winter gloves for golf, was wondering which ones you guys use. I am looking at the Mizuno Thermagrips or the FJ Wintersof.

Personally I much prefer wearing my regular glove and then just put on cart mitts between shots.

I don't wear a glove normally and the dry cold here in Tucson can be fairly brutal. Plus I will be walking.

Gotta recommend cart mitts. Warmer than anything else, and you don't lose the feel you're accustomed to when hitting shots.

I don't use a cart, but i use winter mitts. Highly recommend also. Never loose feel no matter how cold. There is a difference between them, average, good and very good. Try them out before buying. Some felt so much better than others, both quality and fit/feel

I have the Callaway's and a pair of Under Armour (think only sold in UK), both work fine, also have UA cart mitts (UK only also, I think).

Anyone had any experience with the Clic Gear Cart Mitt?

I use the clicgear cart mitts and think they work great. No need to fuss with getting your mitts on and off between shots. They attach to cart handle using Velcro and stay put. Plenty of room to easily slip your hands into them when pushing your cart. Also have pockets for chemical hand warmers if wanted, although I rarely need them. I have tried footjoy winter gloves and various cart mitts, but much prefer the clicgear mitts along with my normal glove.

I buy a pair of FJs every fall and use them all winter long for golf and as driving gloves when driving to work. The more you wear them, the better control you have with them. I predominately walk when I play.

I have the FJ winter gloves and it just DOESN'T work for me at all (need to feel the grip, I guess?). So, I use my regular golf glove on my left hand and expose my bare right hand when swinging a club, then cart mitt gloves all other times until done with the round. Not the greatest, but better than nothing.

Cloc Gear mitts work very well when walking with the Clic Gear cart. Nice and warm between shots

Just switched from Footjoy to Mizuno and love the thermagrip.
Quality, style and feel is much better with the Mizunos.

Always had the Footjoys but recently picked up the Callaway version and you get better feel on the club. They have a rubber-like palm versus the suede on the FJs and feel more like regular gloves. Don't think they are as warm though, but together with mitts on my Clicgear (sorry not CG's version) it works pretty well.

I just use mittens as well, reminds me to get a new pair as I've lost mine at some point this year. Don't like playing with two gloves.

I just bought the Thermagrips this season and I really like them. Not too thick, and they really do a good job of keeping my hands warm.

Bought Mizunos couple years ago (not sure what model) and they work great for me, not as much feel as regular glove but close enough. And they have kept my fingers warm playing with frozen ground and patches of snow, they also look like new for how much use I have got from them. Would buy again.

Played last weekend for the first time with FJ winter gloves. Was much easier to get used to them I expected. A little awkward on or around the green but worth it to get out on a sunny but cold day.

I realize I live in a year round golfing area, but it does get cold enough that I use cart mitts. Being the wussie from SoCal that I am I also bought a supply of hand warmers that I put in the mitts before the round.

Was looking to try the mizunos.. how is the sizing compared to footjoy? Can't find the therma grips in stores.

I tried the rain joys and the wind just cuts thru them. Also I find the rain joys have better grip when they are wet, so not for me in the winter

I like the Mizuno Thermalgrips. Feel more like a real glove. But I don't know that they are overly warm.

What I really like are my titleist mittens that have an opening at the end. Just pull them back up to the cuff to expose your hand and swing, then pull them back down as a mitten. Has anyone else used them?

These work for me, too. They are nearly as warm as my FJ Wintersoft but much better feel. Takes the wind off the hands. Couple these with cart mitts if you want and you should be good no matter what the temp.

I use the FJ winters and am firmly in the "regular glove+mittens" camp. If your playing seriously then the feel of those winter gloves just don't cut it.

I have a pair of black Footjoy winter gloves. I love 'em and the feel
is fine for me. Kinda weird in one sense as you can get used to
wearing left and right hand gloves and when It starts to warm up
and you go back one handed it feels weird again.

Anyone use the football type hand warmers that clip around your waist? Pretty tempted to get one. Just hate taking mitts on and off. Plus you can stick your hands in them while your waiting on the tee, green, etc.

I tried using Fj rain gloves, but had 2 issues.

Cold wind cut right thru them
Grip only works when the gloves are wet.

Received the FJ WinterSof as a tournament gift and have used many times living up in Chicago and are very useful for anything sub 50 degrees. Would have no problem spending the money on another pair.
