Rickie Fowler's Cobra King LTD driver: shot at 2015 Hero World Challenge

The headcover stinks, mine is a pain to put back on and it might just get replaced altogether.

Looks like this might be the same as the Bio Cell line where Rickie was playing a proto of the Pro head which had no Pro designation on it.
Two hints that this is the "non-Pro" King Ltd head. (1) the Pro version has a black ring around the space port, not silver; (2) the Pro has fade setting on the adjustable hosel, not draw settings. I'm a high SS player and I've hit the Pro and can't keep the ball in the air it's so low spinning. I'm not surprised that Rickie plays the "non-Pro" head. No difference between the Pro and non-Pro except loft and draw/fade settings.

Rickie's head is made with 9* of loft. From what I've seen on his WITB here. He's using his adapter from his fly-z+ head/shaft. Neither of the King LTD adapters have a 10D setting.

Retail pro is made with 8.5*.
Retail standard is made with 10.5*.
Spoke with two people from Cobra directly about that.

Matrix's website claims that Rickie is playing the prototype of their new Speedrulz shaft, not the Reign Black.

Didn't someone say in an older thread how he was using a LH adapter so he could get the loft lower?

Yes that was posted somewhere, and that his driver is playing 6.5*. I don't and can't believe that, especially if his LTD head is really molded at 9*. Why would you have your driver made with 9* and then lower it to 6.5*? That's a pretty extreme move down. And regardless of left handed or right handed adapters, I'm pretty certain the Cobra ones can only move it 1.5 degrees either way from the head loft.

So you don't think it is possible that his driver was hand picked with 8* of loft? Stated loft and actual loft can be different.

Thanks for the clearer picture. Some more digging yielded more information that it is reign black g-70t. That shafts all business!

Found one on the bay. Apparently only 10 made. Not sure how I feel about that.

I've got a Reign Black G-60B in my Fly Z+ and that combo is absolutely sickening. Love the performance & the feel doesn't get much better.

10* draw setting? ....right. Thought the first pics of this that were posted when he first started playing had the head labeled with a 6.5* sticker from the tour van or something along those lines
Rickie also uses a left handed adapter to allow him to achieve a lower loft hence the 10 draw setting. The numbers are just flipped.

Not saying it's impossible at all, just saying I don't believe it.
Why would Cobra put a 9.0 sticker on a driver head if it has 8* of loft and give to their main man? Also, his Fly-Z+ head was made with 9* of loft as well. (see pics below)
So that leads me to believe his King LTD is at 9 as well. Plus, a 10D setting coming from the Fly-Z+ adapter is neutral loft, regardless of right or left handed. The draw setting would just make the head a flatter lie, not a lower loft.
I know there is a better pic of the King LTD head with sticker somewhere but I couldn't find it right now.

Good points. I guess the main question that needs answered then is what is the face angle on his heads. Also the Draw setting makes the lie more upright.
If it's a right handed adapter then yes.
If it's a left handed adapter then it would make it flatter in a right handed head.
At least that's my understanding with the draw and fade settings in the different adapters. But I'm not fully confident with the fade and draw conversions. But I'd think if the lofts work opposite in the right and left hand adapters I'd assume the draw and fade settings work opposite too.

Found a conversion chart. I was mistaken about the fade and draw settings. Right hand or left hand, the draw setting will make it upright. Good call.
