Good, AFFORDABLE digital scale. Any suggestions?

The other day I needed to know the difference between brass tip weights. Pulled out my kitchen digital scale, plopped the first tip weight down. Nothing. Did not register. Pretty sure it's a 2 gram weight, but this kinda ticked me off. It's a cheap digital kitchen scale. Does anybody have a suggestion for a decent weight scale that won't break the bank?

You can get an Ohaus triple beam balance from ebay for cheap and it's deadly accurate, no batteries to wear out, and you can will it to your children because it will last forever. Get one with the weight kit and that expands the scales useable range to about 5 lbs. Great for weighing packages for shipping (although the range doesn't go high enough for a set of irons).

[/quote]I have the same one, it works flawlessly and the battery is still going strong after three years of occasional use. It also comes with an ac/dc converter in case you are out of batteries but with the auto shutoff after a few minutes it seems the battery lasts forever. .

I got an American Weigh Systems pocket scale off Amazon for around 9 dollars - plus an extra 6 for the 500g calibration weight and it's good to go. It's been accurate for everything I've used - just weighed out lead tape to get my putter around 365g last night to counter a 120g grip.

I weighed out my SLDR 430 head to see how it was and I want to say it read around 206g - which was within a gram or two of what everyone else said it measured at.

I recently bought a digital kitchen scale from Wal-Mart.

It only weighs to the gram but nonetheless suffices for my needs.

It was $12-15 iirc.

I've got this exact one. Works pretty good. Seems accurate. Can be checked with known weights (i.e coins).
