i use the cameron pistolero but have been interested in trying the super stroke ultra slim 1.0. can anyone compare the two?

I like them both, but these two grips are quite different. The ultra slim 1.0 has no taper top to bottom and the pistolero is much thicker at the top than the middle. This can be seen when you view the grips in profile.

As for me, these are my four favorite grips in order of preference:

1. Lamkin UTX paddle ($14.99) 112 grams. A heavy grip I'm using with a 350 gram head to give me a bit of counter balance. Only available in blue, unfortunately. This is roughly the same size as a Super Stroke Flatso 1.0.

2. Ping PP58 midsize cord ($11.99) 85 grams

3. Lamkin? Tour Cord ($7.50 with free shipping on ebay) 85 grams +- These are new old stock and need to be hit with some sandpaper to make them like new.

4. Lamkin Deep Etched ($5.99) 81 grams.

Golf Pride Dual Durometer.

Here in the UK; these became really hard to find for a while. Not sure if a load were found or if they've been re-released. Either way its possible to find them again......

Not quite an old midsize, but not 'Pro Only' super-super thin either. And pretty firm, which transmits some great feel to the hands / fingers unlike some of the bigger / spongy grips out there which really nullify whats actually happening with the strike.

I've never understood getting a custom made, deep-milled, exotic head material putter and then jamming on a super fat or super squidgy grip............

Ping PP58. I wish I tried it years ago. Now I want to install one on every putter I have.

I also really like the SS Flatso Ultra, which works well for how I grip the putter.

I've been using the Superstroke Claw (13" length) because I have big hands and I like gripping down a bit on shorter putts. It's about the diameter of the Superstroke 1.0 but has a slight pistol shape instead of the 1.0's slight reverse taper. Tacky, but maybe just a bit on the squishy side. I recently picked up a Lamkin Sink 13" round paddle and also one in 13" square pistol (both also available in 11"). I like the Silk's firmer feel and great traction, will be trying one or both of these out soon.

Pure Midsize Putter Grip. Liking it so far.

Have been playing various SS for a couple of years, but I started to be bothered by the lack of durability. I really hate how they tend to fray at the butt end of the grip.

i use the cameron pistolero but have been interested in trying the super stroke ultra slim 1.0. can anyone compare the two?

Yeah, I went from Pistolero to SS Flatso 1.0 and back to the Pistolero. While I've used both, it's really tough to compare the two, as they're totally different. I did a fitting at the Scotty gallery in Encinitas earlier this year, than they really sold me back on the Pistolero (I'm sure some of that was the Kool-aid, but the results during the fiting did speak for themselves).

The one thing I will say in comparing the two is that I generally but a lighter stroke on the putter (for reference, the putter I was using in both cases was the Cameron Kombi-S) with the SS, and a heavier stroke with the Pistolero. That is to say, my misses were generally short with the SS, and long with the Pistolero. If there are any other specific questions you might have, I'm happy to answer...it's just tough to give a general comparison between two completely different grips.

At this point, all my putters have Pistoleros, with the exception of a Ping Anser Milled 5 I havew, which has a M58 Midsize.

Thank you for the info! One of my friend's I play with in college just got the 1.0 on his Scotty so I was messing around with it today when we were playing. While the 1.0 is nice, I preferred the Pistolero and agree with what you said.

I love a paddle grip and the flatso 1.0 - I'm currently using a lamkin deep etched and I feel like it's a nice combination of the best of both.

Crossline paddle pulled off of a white hot pro on my Rife. I have had great success with the Iomic midsize. I appreciate how the Iomic does not wear as quickly as the Lamkin; when I pick up my Rife I can feel where my hands molded to the putter. I just put a standard Ping grey cord grip on a B60 I found and it feels nice.

If anything can go right, it might!
