GolfWRX is live from the 2016 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Club in La Jolla, Calif., where the players will play the South course (7,698/par-72) for three rounds, and the North course (7,052/par-72) for one of the first two rounds.

 

The field is set to include Jason Day, ranked No. 2 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Rickie Fowler (No. 4), Justin Rose (No. 7), Dustin Johnson (No. 8) and Phil Mickelson (No. 31) among others. Last year, Day won in a four-man playoff to capture the first victory of his five-win season, which included the PGA Championship.

I looped in the Pro Am today in Patrick Reed's group (North). He looked good (-4) and I'm rolling with him in fantasy for Yahoo B starter. It was a fun group. Always love seeing the pros up close, awesome day! Any SD Wrx'ers, let's play Torrey or Balboa sometime! I'll probably be watching at Torrey on Friday. My guy (not pictured) had a full bag of PXG gear. I thought they looked a lot like PING s55, iron number fonts and top line. Very similar shape. Don't get the hype of the weight ports. I didn't like the weight ports on the flange of the putter. Does PING make these clubs? My stupid face in r11 visor starting on #10 North. Haha. Lame.

Greg, any info on whether Gary Woodland is using a custom Tensei shaft, ie. 90, 100 grams? I know he usually uses shafts a flex down from rebar. Thanks.
