MDF means there were many people tied just above the cut line so the remaining people after the next day are whittled down to 70ish.

 

I am really regretting having Gomez as the only person on my DK that I did not bet straight up.

No joke, this may be the most tilted I've ever been. I am actually rooting for Blair who I have no interest in.

 

Edit: after cooling down, I'd rather have Gomez win this playoff because:

 

A. He grinded like a champ getting a 62 with two bogeys.

B. It actually helps me with DK.

C. I learned my lesson

I am going with a flier this week with Jamie Lovemark - it is going to be an odd week and I think a long shot could have a chance. Solid player.

Any last minute must haves or not haves for a DK lineup?

not sure about individual must or must nots, but I do think this week on DK it is extra important to get birdie machines on your roster because it is a 3-round cut, and DK gives extra points for birdies and eagles (so, a guy who shoots -5 with 5 birdies will actually score worse than a guy who shoots -5 with 9 birdies); also, one thing I brought into play this week for study purposes...don't put too much stock into high GIR #s for anyone who played Kapalua....those greens are massive and GIR #s there just are not comparable with regular tour events; if you need to put a low-priced player into your roster, try to pick one with a high birdie avg (of the players at 6k or less, to me the best birdie guys are andres Gonzalez and martin piller); this week i'm kind of leaning toward rosters of mid-priced guys vs my usual stack of high/low priced guys

it is weird feeling out of an entire tourney after 6 holes with half the players not even out yet...but, I went heavy on McDIRT who managed to start +4 thru 6 holes on one of the easiest courses they will play all season

Farmers Open sounds like a bombers course. Typically not a first time winners course either. However I e read a few things about Berger being a good pick this week. Thoughts on this week?

looking at DK values, once again very few options at lower end, and no one priced lower than 6200, which makes it hard to do more than one of the top 5 players in a lineup; seems like last year, they would have quite a few players in the sub-6k range to at least consider on a top-heavy roster; Berger does look like a solid pick this week, was 24th last year in first go around in the event and played the south course really well two of the three rounds, and even finished his bad round there birdie/eagle !! it looks like weather could be an issue on sunday, which might enhance guys like JB and Lowry if they are in contention
