My clubs are...and my car is a...

Pretty self-explanatory, I would like other's to chime in. And maybe a short reason why they drive what they drive. Some equipment as it relates to car research!

I keep reading on different threads how people wouldn't pay the $300+ per club PXG, and how it is the Lamborghini of clubs, or how PXG users also drive status symbol Ferrari's. I don't necessarily think that is the case. While there maybe some price correlation, I don't necessarily think there's a status symbol or performance correlation. Only way to find out, is to take a sample!

Plus, it would be interesting to see if there are other significant results or outliers. Are classic club users more likely to use a dependable 4 door sedan? Are mizuno users more likely to own a Japanese car? Are Adams users more likely to own a Buick?

If you want to turn this into a PXG debate, feel free. But I am more interested in everyone's responses and comments on the main topic! Thanks!

i play mostly run of the mill old-ish stuff. 2 year old driver, 3 yr old irons. scotty i've had about 10 years i think. come to realize a while back clubs don't matter much in improving your game. also nobody i know is impressed with flashy clubs. spendy people in my experience usually have a bag full of one brand (usually titleist).

i drive a 911 convertible because i like fun cars and it's gorgeous.

I do wonder what truck owners or muscle car type guys use.

Clubs in sig, drive a Volvo v40 cross country. Just because it's comfortable (as I do 25000 miles a year), was better specced for the price than the equivalent German cars that I liked and it feels solid and well made.

Clubs are a Powerbilt AFO DFX driver, Cobra Bio Cell 3/4 FW, Cobra Fly-Z 3/4 Hybrid, Mizuno JPX 850 Forged irons, Mizuno S5 wedges, and a 16 year old Odyssey Dual Force 222 putter, which was the first club I ever bought. I got the irons and wedges only after a generous Christmas gift from my grandmother in-law, the driver I got on the BST here, Cobra hybrid was a demo club from Golfsmith, and the FW was an open box from Global Golf that I got for $55 new...so I'm typically a bargain shopper.

As for bargain shopping, I drive a BONE STOCK 1991 Jeep Wrangler S in yellow. Bought it off a friend for a song, and if my wife and I weren't talking kids, I'd never own another car in my life. It's an honest car, and does everything I need. Sometimes I wish it were faster, but that's what engine swaps are for.

I love that this topic exists, because it merges my two favorite things in life. Hearing what people drive is fascinating, because everyone has reasons!

Man! I agree, cool to see reasons, especially as it relates to hobbies, family, work, or just sensibility.

Clubs in sig...

I drive a 2004 Ford Ranger FX4, only has 80k miles. I haul my kids 4 wheeler in it, golf stuff fits in extended cab.

I don't need much when it comes to a vehicle, buy the wife the new car to drive. It's also easier to make more club purchases when you buy your wife a new car and keep driving your 12 year old truck. What is she gonna say, really...lol.

I drive the majestic Toyota Etios Sport, a machine of epic mediocrity but it came with rims and is really good on fuel so until I can afford my Amarok I'll stick with it.

For people in the U.S., I believe, the Etios is like a cooler version of North America's Toyota Yaris and the Amarok is Volkswagen's competitor to the Nissan Frontier/Navara and Toyota's Tacoma/Hilux.

I would drive a mid sized pickup named Amarok! There have been talks to try to make it available in the U.S. soon.

Haha it barely scrapes past being cooler than the Yaris but yeah it is a bit cooler...

I thought the Amarok had been brought over to you guys?? Honestly one of the best 4x4's out there in my opinion.
