I myself dont care what number ball i use but i do love the higher number pro v1s like 7 8 9 but its too much hassle to get them

I use 3's because it's my number in all my sports and 3's are awful good on the scorecard. I also don't mind high numbers because they're sweet!

i use all the high numbers, but i prefer the 8s. no real reason i suppose, but i am a bit superstitious. never seen a titleist 9, by the way. it's nice because with all the random balls on a course, they're rarely high numbers of my make and model, so there's not too much confusion which is mine.

 

i saw that you could order anything 1-99 (maybe zero too) from taylormade. never tried their balls, but i thought that was a nice option.

Pro V1 number 8's only.................. a local shop brings in four dozen for me every two months, during the season. The number 8 reminds me a bit of the symbol for infinity........ no beginning, no end :good:

titleist 9s because they are pretty rare and 9 is also the worst number ive made in a tournament as well as my best strecth of golf(-4) thru three holes

i'm not really into the crap of saying "ooohhh, i only play a #7" - because i bet most of us just play any numbered golf ball. BUT, for me any ProV1 apart from a #2.

In a box of ProV1x's, I get 12 balls, and all 12 get used at somepoint.

I'm not a huge fan of superstition.

my question is why? it's just some paint on the ball used to identify it that gives it some supersticious value to some players. there is no way at all that a little mark of paint can make the ball better in any way, shape, or form. as long as it's a pro v1x, i will use it.

Paint matters.

 

Think of a white splotch on a driver head, or black paint on a windshield, or a checkered black & white ball.

 

Paint does matter.

 

For me, it's higher numbered Pro V1x's.

I don't mind,any number will do.Strange quite a few have said number 3.A lot of players I know won't touch number 3's (3 putting and all that)

i use 3's and 1's and sometimes 2's but never 4's.

3 is my favorite number

I like 1 because I like to think that I'm #1

2 is my dads favorite number

and i really just dont like the number 4 for some reason.

For me, it is not necessarily the number that matters (if I had my choice, it would be pro v1 x high numbers), but I try to stick with same number the entire round.
