Counterfeit Graphite Design Tour AD DI Series

Tzoid

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a used Graphite Design Tour AD DI 6S shaft and it played ridiculously weak so I had it checked out and it was measured at 248 CPM. I contacted

Pro's Choice Golf Shafts and Bill McPherson provided me the attached photos to identify the fake shafts. Be sure to verify you are buying the genuine article. The DI6-S is 265 cpm at 46” with a 201g head weight.

and they are all serialized. The counterfeit shaft I bought had no serial number.

Real or fake?

I just received a black and white version and was concerned. Call pro choice golf shafts and read the serial # to them, they'll have it in their system of real and will tell you color and specs. If they don't have record of it, it's fake.

Found this guy on eBay. Pro clubs I believe in Arizona. Looking at these pictures would you say these are fake or legit???

Has the heatwrap label, lettering on shaft like it should, stickers from Graphite Design, and is sold by one of eBay's best seller? Jeeze I wouldn't want you to have to think for yourself once.

I was worried because it's missing the tour ad di 7x label but other than that everything else matches up. Thanks goondawg.

In your first pic it looks like I can see where the white label overlaps. If yours has the white line running down the white section where it overlaps it is legit. From the photos provided, nothing looks off

Newbie here, I really learned a lot from you guys. I recently bought a MT-7s off ebay and it looked legit due to the white line, holograms etc... When I pulled the grip off, there was no etched serial number, which kinda freaked me out. Some pics to Bill confirmed that it was in fact a real shaft. I'm only posting because someone mentioned that the mt's would have the etched sn, which isn't always the case.

just bought this off of the BST. I think it looks real, just wanted to get some confirmation from some people to ease my mind. It looks like there is a white line though the white part and the holograms are there. I can't see the serial # and logo b/c the grip is installed. Thanks for the help!

YOUR PICS ARE HUGE!

Real. That is the line where the heat wrap/silkscreen gets folded over in production.

Hey Boys

Just picked this up second hand. I figured you guys could tell from these pictures. It does NOT have the circular logo anywhere on the shaft. It appears to have the silkscreen fold and an etched serial number.

It's real. Also whomever gouged the shaft during grip removal should be more careful.
