Kevin Burns putter?

Hi there,

 

I am a new player (10 rounds played, scored 102-107). I purchased a used putter with "Kevin Burns" on it in a local Golfdom for $30. I knew nothing about putter brands and my selection was based solely on how the putter felt when I tried it (I tried about 10 different ones in the store). As I began to read this wonderful forum, I discovered the cult-like world of putter brands, and learned that Kevin Burns putters are very highly regarded. I have seen pictures of other Burns putters, but mine looks a little different- it has no number on it. I have attached a few photos of the putter, and would like your opinions on whether or not you think it is a genuine Burns putter. The grip has the Burns signature, and the shaft has a clear plastic KBGolf logo sticker on it.

I am happy with the putter now, and it doesn't matter to me whether or not it is genuine, I'm just curious.

I am not an expert but the milling looks nice (not fake milling marks), the insert looks the proper size and the signature looks genuine enough.

 

I suggested the other angles for the experts on this site, that it may help them to verify.

 

As long as it feels good and works for you it was a bargain.

That is a real Kevin Burns. It is a custom one though. I have seen some of his close friends with the same thing but that is it. Where did you get it?

Looks like a 9310 that may not have been totally finished. Can still see milling on the top line. That design has been around for about 10 years. Kevin is 1 class act and a nice guy.

 

30 Bucks.total steal. Great buy.

Yep, 9310. Great score from one of the most under rated putter artist's out there. Kevin supposedly checks every putter that goes out the door. Further info: I think Craig Stadler and Vijay have both won on tour with a KB Putter, VJ - The Masters!
