What type of shaft do they use?

I have a Cameron & Co putter and the shaft is starting to show signs of rusting. I will probably replace it this winter. I don't want to send it back to the Custom shop because it is a GSS and therefore I don't want to let it out of my sight. :lol: Thought I would post here to see if I could get an answer. Thanks.

it's a true temper shaft without label... i don't think you can get them easily. if you can, let me know-- i need to reshaft some putters.

Just picked up my new Squareback.

The shaft has a label. It is an H with a circle around it.

Underneath the logo it says "Designed to have a heavier head"

The word "Heavier" is above that.

The shaft is stepless.

quite often you can buy a cameron putter shaft from some one that has removed thiers for what ever reason. Some times with a grip sometimes with no grip

Get a normal true temper putter shaft! I have one in my scotty and it works great!!!

It depends on which particular shaft you need. True Temper makes several different types . . . taper tip, over the hosel, fluted tip and flared tip. You can buy them from ebay seller Golfzones on eBay. Heres a link to one of his current listings under "eBay Stores":

2zlinks - There are no retail outlets from which you can obtain the same shaft that Cameron uses. I assume you're talking about the shaft that has the approx. 3 inch steps? FWIW, the Mizuno Bettinardi's and Byron putters use that same shaft (same step pattern, same weight--made by True Temper).

 

If you watch ebay you will find Cameron shafts pop up from time to time. Some are old junkers but many are either like new or actually new. Also, I would recommend posting a WTB ad both here and at The Cameron Collector. There are always some Cameron collectors who have extra shafts because they pulled one before sending to the Custom Shop.

 

If you are patient, I have no doubt you will have a new Cameron/True Temper shaft within a month.

I have just ordered 4 of the stepless shafts that cameron use (newport in hosel - taper tip) they are exactly the same as the shafts in the new pings, cameron and bettinardi putters. They cost about £5 each. I think Cameron makes beautiful putter heads an uses quality kit, but the shafts are dirt cheap. I have fitted rifle shafts in all my scotties they feel a lot heavier and give a better feel IMO

ysc 325 i believe. contact the guys at byron putters (z-man). they shipped me a new shaft for 10 bucks.
