Will Jordan Spieth regain the #1 Official World Golf Ranking in 2016?

Seems like a bit of a pissy guy on the course when things aren't going his way. Easy to be mentally strong when everything is going your way. Needs to chill.

While I admittedly question Rickie Fowler's inclusion in the whole "big 4" thing, If one had to model their on course attitude after someone, IMO Fowler would be an easy choice. So level all the time.

Must be the first time you've watched Spieth... he get's pissy almost every round. Similar to Tiger.

No he won't be. Put simply, Day, McIlroy and even Scott's best golf is far superior to Spieth's best.

Let's see ... Spieth's best (arguably) produced a five victory season which included two majors, a money title, and a FedEx Cup. I guess Adam has yet to show us his best.

IMO Scott's best golf is better. Jordan consistently plays at his best longer than Scott, but Scott has a higher level.

Yeah, I could see that. Personally, I think Esteban Toledo's best is by far the best golf ever played. Problem is it usually lasts about five minutes.

He's young, so he's everyone gives him a pass. It'll get old sooner or later.

The chicken wing swing is not built for the long haul. He doesn't hit it far enough, and he knows it. Day got in his head at The Straits last year with the 350 yard bombs. i think he'll drop down steadily all year, and might retire.

He's only 5 yards shorter than Fowler. I don't think distance is a problem at all. I doubt that he has ever lost a hole due to distance.

He's 10th in scoring average which is much more important than driving distance.

His putting has dropped off... he's #17 in strokes gained.

But all in all he is not that far off.

Wow! You do realize Spieth tied the Masters scoring record don't you? and set the 36 hole record? and the 54 hole record? and set the record for most birdies? and is the only golfer to ever get to 19 under at the Masters? When did Scott do something "far superior" to that?

I feel like Day has the game to keep Jordan out of top spot. He has scud missile long game and his short game is superb.

And yet Day's iron play is less than mediocre. For example, he ranks # 160 at 100 - 125 yds and #210 at 123-150 yds. His putting has saved him and he ranks #3.

Speith is a young guy learning still. He pushes very hard, so dealing with anger is something he will work on. He will be fine and dangerous when he gets a better handle on his emotions. He has done great so far even with moments of dealing with big emotions.

And yet Day's iron play is less than mediocre. For example, he ranks # 160 at 100 - 125 yds and #210 at 123-150 yds. His putting has saved him and he ranks #3.

And yet he won successive weeks and regained top spot. Agree he is certainly not hitting the ball as well as he did through his hot streak last year but what happens if he does?
