GolfWRX Pitchfix Divot tool????

Recommended Posts

So a playing buddy played a tournament and they gave these pitch fix retractable divot tools which are awesome!! I looked them up and you can't order individuals from them, but you can customize with a company.

To the site owners/moderators would it be a possibility of getting an order of these together customized for the site if there was enough interest to sell in the "Official Site Store" or maybe just a group buy?

Minimum order from Pitchfix USA is like 50 I think and there are different packages and ways to assemble the set. I've been looking at these for a while and not big on the plain jane stuff divot tool but if these were a group buy or available in the store customized for the site I would be interested.

Just a thought!!

I have one because I thought they were cool and would be all that. As it turns out, I don't use it. To speed play I keep a ball in my right pocket. I keep my tool in my right pocket. The push button will push against a ball in your pocket. The thing discharges just fast enough and is sharp enough that it WILL go through your pocket fabric all the way through the exterior fabric tearing your pants/shorts. As a matter of fact, bend the wrong way and depending on how the tool is sitting in your pocket, you may need medical attention in an area that you don't want.

+1

I've actually had my pitchfix open up a couple of times in my pocket and it cut up the fabric in the pockets.. Even got scratches on my thigh once. Cool looking tool but with the opening in the pockets and the weight I've sidelined my a pitchfix

We have looked at these and they have a new product version that locks it in to stop accidental openings. They are $$$.

Wow I apologize I had no idea that they were so prone to opening on their own and causing issues. I haven't read anything about that or heard first hand of that. You would think that if this was such a common and wide issue they would fix it pronto. I don't see anything in their line up that would correct this other than the Twister version. Maybe I don't want of these then.

I think that the pitch mark, is also technically a divot isn't it? I mean the divot in the fairway is the hole left after you strike the ground with the club. You put sand in the divot... So if you repair a ball mark, arent you in fact repairing a small divot?

Just food for thought. I call mine a divot tool, but I repair "ball marks".... so I dunno

BTW... this is the best tool I have ever used...

No need to apologize. Your post turned out to be a great public service announcement! There are some places that I just don't want an accidental fork stabbing.

But you ARE open to accidental fork stabbings in other places?

No, no, no, no....aaahhhhhh!!! It's NOT a divot tool!!! LOL!! I'm sorry... Pet peeve. Definition:

div·ot

ˈdivət/

noun

noun: divot; plural noun: divots

a piece of turf cut out of the ground by a golf club in making a stroke.

SCOTTISH

a piece of turf, as formerly used for roofing cottages.

That's it....Doesn't apply to greens. Pass it on.

Then why do they call it a sand filled divot? Funny how things can take on a life of their own.. So guy probably just said it one time on TV, mistakenly, and then it stuck..

Like saying that guy finished "Tee three"

it was just probably a slip up with some guy reading a tele-prompter

I think he was asking more towards how much for a customized one with new design customized for the GolfWRX site. I still don't see anything with this new design on the pitchfix tool to prevent unwanted opening, I see the twister but I don't know if that's the one GX was talking about.
