Athletic fit pants?

So I'm looking for some athletic fit pants. I do have a pair of high end nike pants that I love but I don't like spending over $100 for a pair of pants. Is there a quality product out there you can recommend that aren't "skinny jeans" tight or super baggy? I hate baggy golf pants that feel like I'm wearing sails in any kind of wind haha

I've had a pair of Haggar H26 (JCPenney) pants that I wear on the course that (I think) fit similar to what you're talking about. I think they were in the $30-40 range. They're the navy pants in the intro (first 15 seconds). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=he9RBIOwomE

 

They're decent pants, pretty solid construction, nice fabric. They aren't $100 pants by any means, but they're also machine washable. Downside: They're a little on the hot side in the sun.

Maide by Bonobos is the best that I've come across. They're available in different cuts (slim, straight, etc.), but are around $100 full price; they do put them on sale fairly often. I have a few pairs and highly recommend checking them out.

I have three pairs of Adidas Ultimate Tapered-Fit Pants on the way. I wanted something similar to you, and I'm thinking they'll fit the bill.

You get what you pay for with cheap pants. I picked up a pair of Linksoul pants. I think they are great, slim fitting but not skin tight. I also like the Bonobos, but was in between on length sizes and with the zippered bottoms didn't want to mess with altering them. Went with the shorter size and wish they were about an inch longer. I'm also interested in the Matte Grey pants, and the new FootJoy athletic fit pants.

Pants off the rack rarely fit me right. I have large thighs from my football playing days so the "slim" fitting pants can be too tight sometimes. Here's my solution. No one buys "relaxed" fitted pants anymore so go to any clearance rack and find your waist size. They'll fit great in the thigh and seat area but way too baggy past the knees. Go get them tailored. Last season I bought about 4-5 pants for $20-$25 at kohls or nike outlet. Got them tailored for $15 each. They are now the best fitting pants I own and I only spent about $40 each. I know it's a pain to do all that but is worth it.

Nike's new modern tech pants are a 'tailored' fit. I'd look into them at $65-$75/pair. Above it's said that you get what you pay for, this is quite correct (from my experience).

I like the Uniqlo Dry Stretch Pants. Regular priced at $50 and often on sale for about $30. If you have a store local to you they will hem them onsite too.

Just bought some 2014 Adidas Golf Flat Front pants NWT off of EBay, only $40/pair. They have a much more modern fit than my flat front Nike pants.

I wear a 34W 32L in both brands and am pretty happy with the fit so far.

Agreed on the Linksoul. The performance pants are great. Also own a few pair of Bonobos which are fantastic. Keep an eye on the Bonobos sale and you can sometime snag them for a % off.
