Rolled one in the store today(right handed). Felt good and looks really good as well. Had a really nice feel coming off the putter face. Wish they made these lefty but everything I've seen so far doesn't look like they did

The B2-01 retail version will be available in left handed.

Are the retail putters going to be different than what was released today? I am out of the loop here, but I know the flow neck head looks awesome.

I don't think the flow neck is scheduled for release yet. Just the b201 and b101 so far. Retail isn't gonna be Rory stamped of course, also has different grip, a black lamkin deep etched with a swoosh and origin on it.. Also when you look down at putter, retail shows more blue polymer at address than the Rory limited. And of course retail hc won't be stamped the oven and is velcro not magnetic. Think that covers it anyway. Feel free to jump in if I left something out

Unless you play/address the ball way forward on your putts, you can't see any of the blue RZN polymer.

Thanks quick feet, great pic. That seals the deal for me. I love my matters B201 but gotta have this one too. I think with the different colors and I would think different feels, I can justify both in my sick mind. Seems like two good putters to switch between for quite a while. Been waiting about 10 years for quality nike putters. Been wanting one since I played slingshot irons if that tells you anything

Ha..........Slingshots.........that's a name from the past.

Lots of pictures of the Origin's are starting to show in several Nike threads........seems like the B2 may be more popular than the B1.

I posted some additional pictures of my B2 in the Nike 2016 thread, starting at post #7841. I'll be surprised if you don't like your B2 as much or more than the Matter. The Origin is the best putter I've had in my hands................and I've tried them all.

Just got my B2-01 Origin and have been rolling it in the house. Address-wise it looks somewhere between the Rory 006 and the Method Matter B2-01. Now feel is very good, very soft. The ball starts rolling very quickly and it's going to take some time to dial in bc it's much faster than my Method Matter.

Can you please specify how you feel the Origin is better than previous models? Thanks, any additional feedback would be much appreciated!

Very surprised this has 4* of loft. The methods are 2.5* I believe. Wonder if the retail Origins are lower and the 4* is just mimicking RoRs specs??

Just answered my own question, retail is 70*lie and 2.75*loft. I'm working on getting a RoRs, but I will have to tweak it to 70* and 3* gulp. Hate to have it bent, but gotta be done

I had that confirmed by Nike directly as well.

Mine looks incredibly upright and after playing a 70* lie angle and 3* of loft putter for the last 4-5 years, it will need to be bent if I end up keeping it.

I'm with you man. I can't play it that upright either. Good fitter should be able to do it no problem. I just hate to spend the money a LE and have it nicked changing the set up.

Walked into a Golfsmith to see the putters in person. Asking the GM of the only golf retailer within 30mi of me if they have a putter that launched today should not draw a "did you fart?!" look. No one there even knew the putter dropped today and the store is 20 minutes away from the Oven...

So confusing. I just want to try out the putter first before blindly shelling out $400.

My preorder actually arrived tonight. I'm now wondering if I should have custom ordered a 353 gram head. I will compare it to the RORS and see which one feels better.

Did anyone that ordered a custom weight receive it yet?

What makes you say that you should have ordered the 353g head? I'm still deciding which one to order, but I am leaning towards the 353g.

I can't wait to receive my Rory. Hopefully the putter will feel better than the 2016 Cameron Newport.

I putted with the retail model today in a store (ordered the RORS LE, will give a review on it when it arrives) back-to-back with my 2016 SC Newport. The two are very different putters, despite having very similar shapes. The ball came of the face of the Origin very quickly and rolled very nicely, although it felt unlike anything I've putted with before. It could have been the grip, but the feel is sort of like what I imagine putting with a firm piece of rubber would be like (very soft, somewhat numb). The SC, on the other hand, has a much crisper, firmer feel. I could see how people would like either one, but I personally prefer a firmer feel, thus my preference of the SC.

I'll be interested to see if anyone has the same observation and whether anybody changes the grip and sees a difference.

Anyone know what these are made of? 304 Stainless steel?

The grip on the retail model is that lamkin etched rubbish that kills all feel.

Imagine how well Stricker would putt if he didn't use such a rubbish grip.
