garmin GolfLogix question

with the garmin golflogix subscription, i know you can download unlimited courses to your computer. You can store up to 20 on the unit at a time. My question is, if you let your subscription run out. Do you lose 19 of the courses stored on the Golflogix unit itself and only the 1 free course remain? Or is it that you just do not have access to exchange courses via software and Garmin gps unit after the subscription expires? thus keeping the 20 courses that are loaded on the unit but can no longer adjust courses on it?

when my subscription lapse on my first unit, I was getting the second gen unit. the course that was on my first stayed on my unit. I only had a couple on it but they worked.

This is correct. You will keep only the last courses on your unit after the sub runs out. So if 20 courses satisfies your needs then you can end your subscription. I use the subscription mostly for vacations when I travel out of state but other than that I use just a few locals on the unit.
