Have been waiting to get my bag in an acceptable condition to be able to do one of these for about a year since I started taking golf seriously. Here we go!

Thanks for sharing, nice setup. Seeing a lot of the 5HL in bags, which is surprising here, has to be the third or fourth out of 10 bags I've looked at today... Going to have to get that out of the closet and try it out again. Don't want to miss out on the magic!

Thanks, I know I've been experimenting with hybrids, long irons, driving irons and fairways for about a year. Had never seen one before but 5HL was the answer for me and I've been surprised to see so many of them in WITB's on here.

UPDATE: Adams CMB Forged 4-PW heads came in time to pair them up with a set of KBS Tour S+'s I've had on the bench! Pics to come!

 

Anyone have any experience with these irons? Was unfamiliar but have heard good things about the feel and stopping power on greens.

Still deciding on what to do with the top end of my bag as the 5W is not the 220-230 club I intended it to be. I hit it great but its more of a 250 club from the tee so I may just get rid of the 3w, keep the cavity back 4i and go 5-P in my irons. Also murdered out putter project is on the works to possibly kick the Scotty out of the bag...

Thanks, I was so ready to switch to Mizuno irons but I just hated how "bulky" the short irons were so I went with this frankenstein combo set haha.

Some new bag updates since my last post and failed attempt at the SET FOR 2017 challenge....

 

 

 

Finally finished my combo set and I think this is the keeper.... Went from Adams CMBs, to a Mizuno MP54/CMB combo to what you see here. For me the Legacy 4i with the steel fiber shaft makes a terrific driving iron for those windy days in FL or when I just really need a fairway. Usually a 240-260 club off the tee lately depending on the strike and wind.

 

Then I finally tracked down 2 new X Forged '13 version 5 and 6 irons (not easy!) and have combo'd them with the Razr MB 7-9 irons.

 

 

 

I went with 4 wedges and got rid of the PW from the MB set and now play a 48, 52, 56 and 60 set of old raw X Series Jaws wedges. Found half of them rusted in someone's basement and brought them back to life (white vinegar and a scotch brite go a long way) Same with the 60 and PW that I bought new, still need to give the same treatment to the PW.

-Left a bit of the 56º paint fill in so I can tell them apart easier, thinking about stripping them and paint filling each loft number over again. . .

 

-Woods: The 08' Burner 3wd and SLDR 5HL aren't going anywhere for a while but I do have a new R15 head coming in and a Hzrdus Black 6.5 to try out with it so stay tuned to see if that knocks the Rogue Silver 70x out of the bag.

Thinking of giving the wedges some paint fill.... any ideas? Need something maybe even just on the loft numbers to make them easier to identify in the bag.

- Classic White

- Yellow

- Navy/White to match grips
