Flat Cat Putter Grip

Anyone game one of these? I'm a hockey player and wondered what it would be like so I figured I would give it a shot

I was thinking the exact same thing. I played hockey when I was a kid. This putter grip looks like a winner and I love the concept. I'm hoping the golf shop has one when I go there tomorrow.

Any updates on users of this grip? I think this might be a concept that would work for me, but was unsure on what the sizing might be like. I have not seen any of these locally.

I always turned my super stroke where its flat on one side, keeps the putter and hands quite.

Seems that grips like Cameron's Pistolero grip is somewhat similar. Skinny side to side, and taller top to bottom. Gives a flat like feel to me. I never liked the Pistolero though, I prefer wider side to side, as I have long fingers...

Bumping to see if anyone uses or has tried this grip. I finally found a SuperStroke I like (Pistol 1.0) but this grip has me intrigued.

I've tried this and a couple of my friends use it. Its an odd feeling at first but does keep the hands square.

We started to carry the grip about 3 weeks ago and its been doing pretty darn well, we have only had a couple customers pull it off within a few days and most are really liking the benefits so far. I have to admit I'm pretty surprised.

I tried a friends and strangely liked it. Just bought one today. I have a conventional grip rather than left-hand low, and this grip could help keep both hands are square. I'll have to at least try it. I don't see how I can get the grip back off without cutting it if this experiment goes sideways. Using a Superstroke 3.0 on my custom Edel right now.

Straight up old school minus the two sided tape.

 

I've hit a few putts with this thing and I thought it was pretty awesome. Liked it more than the super stroke.

i guess each to their own, but i always use a vice, just seems easier to keep it secure

Got my 2 Flat Cats in the mail today, STD and FAT. have installed the STD on a UST frequency filtered shaft, all ready to go in my Seemore Project putter. initial thoughts on shaft without head, pretty damn fine! Currently using, and have been for 2 years, superstoke Flatso XL. Will let you know further thoughts once have rolled it on the course :)

Careful which size you get... the key is matching size of grip to hand size I wear a L Titleist Players glove and the standard was way too big to sit properly in my hands. Just my opinion though - I think if I were to try again, the slim would be nice!

I just put a slim on my Toulon Memphis putter and I really like it so far. I really get a sense of where the face is at during the stroke. I wish it was a little bit heavier, and had a darker color.

My best buddy has a terrible right hand yip issue. He installed a Flat Cat on his Ketsch and I've never seen him roll the ball so good.

I have been interested in these grips, along with Rosemark and Garsen. I have a Golfpride Tour SNSR and it is very much the same idea.

Rosemark are nice but I don't see any fat grips by them. I'm only interested in the big boys.

I'm fortunate enough to live 10 minutes from the Golfworks outlet store where they have an absolutely wonderful display of all grips, on a simulated shaft piece so you can get the feel. I was looking at the Flat Cat, and I chose the Super Stroke Fatso 5.0 CCT. But I can tell you that I really liked the Flat Cat, and it would have been my next choice. It felt very nice, and I don't think you would go wrong choosing it (my opinion). Of course putter grips are something that everyone has to decide on for their individual liking. But it was very nice.

I just got mine, it feels really nice and helps me just stroke the putter without thinking, but I may wrap it on tennis raquet wrap for a different feel

I use a rubber clamp and vice. The guy in the install video used his foot on the ground and the base of a cabinet and threw the grip on like he didn't really care. I take my time and do it right.

I never use a vice, but I take my time and do it right as well. Especially crucial with a putter grip!
