Most forgiving iron with thin topline and no offset?

Been a blade man all my life but once a week golf needs some forgiveness. Liked Callaway Apex CF16 but too thick a topline.

Whats has good turf interaction and bigger sweetspot but no or little offset with a blade like look?

I think we have different ideas on what a thin top line should look like

Try the Hogan Ft. Worth irons. They are as good as anything I've hit.

Pretty much all irons have offset.

These Wishon's are about as low as you will find in a forgiving package.

If you get a tour issue version of something, like the F heads or B heads or whatever in Taylormade, some of them have constant offset which is very very little, so they look pretty small and like blades. At least, as much as you can for a cavity back.

What about the MP5 from Mizuno? It's got a little help with the muscle back and Mizuno blades are really easy to hit. That way you get something small like you want that doesn't play like a traditional blade does.

I'm curious: How thin are you looking for?? There might be only 5 or 6 sets of irons in the entire industry with a thinner top-line than PSI Tour, and those are NOT forgiving. I have a set collecting dust in my guest room, and I'm currently playing TP MB's from 2014, and there isn't a whole lot of difference on the top line between the two sets. Like I said, not sure exactly what will fit what you're looking for, but it may be a unicorn.

If you're willing to pay $1800 for miuras, you might like the Passing Point straight necks or the CB-501. Both have thin top lines to my eye, and while I don't own them, I've hit them extensively and found both quite forgiving. Especially the PP. They feel great too - but obviously expensive.

Check out the Taylormade Tour Preferred MCs. Either the 2012 or 2014 model. I used to own a set of the 2012 MCs and found them surprisingly easy to hit, despite being "way beyond my ability." The 5 irons in each set have roughly 1/10th of an inch of offset. I don't think you can do much better than that in a club that offers any level of forgiveness.

The new Cobra CB's are fantastic. Apex Pro's are great as well. I didn't notice a huge difference in forgiveness between the regular Apex and Apex Pro's. Definitely a difference in distance, but that had nothing to do with how forgiving one or the other was.

Another vote for the new cobra king CB irons!

Yonex N1 MB. Shockingly forgiving undercut channel muscleback that is as forgiving as any players cb and has the least offset of any set you can buy retail today.

If you're a blade guy you should consider Mizuno MP69. The 4D muscle functions like a cavity by moving the weight around to the optimal location on each clubhead. They look quite strange when you compare each head as a set, but they are so nice to strike and gorgeous to look at.

already had a set and yes, beautiful and great off the sweetspot............unforgiving though, if I played 4 times a week I would still have them but I need something a bit more forgiving for those occasional of centre strikes
