Boccieri EL Putter - Wow!

About a year ago I purchased a Boccieri Heavy Putter A3 EL. I bought it primarily to use on the practice green to help smooth out my stroke, never thinking I would actually use it on the course. I've always been a reasonably good putter, but figure you can always improve...right? After several sessions on the putting green I started to notice that I was making everything with the EL. I decided about 2 months ago to go ahead and put the putter in play. I have not been disappointed. I have played about 10 rounds with the putter and have had only one 3 putt. This putter is saving me 3 - 4 strokes per round! Putts inside 15 feet are almost automatic, and my lag putting has improved as well. I wasn't sure about the counterbalanced thing, as I have never used a belly putter in the past, but it seems to work well for me. I have had two standard length Heavy Putters in the past and always had distance control issues with them, but for some reason I don't have that problem with the EL. I just wanted to throw this out there for those who like to experiment with putters. Trying a counterbalanced putter might change your game!

Glad it's working for you, and I hope your good results continue, but putts inside 15 feet are "almost automatic"?

This season (so far), the best putter on tour from 5-15 feet is Steve Stricker. He has made 56.96% of his putts in that range.

If your definition of "almost automatic" is that you are making half of your putts in that range, then those would be pretty darn good results... Good enough to get you in the top 40 on tour.

Automatic in the sense that I believe I can make all of them. I certainly don't make them all, but am making far more that I was in the past. :)
