Graphite design driving iron shaft feedback?

Thinking of buying this shaft to put in my 18* u45. I know the shaft have been released earlier this year but cant seem to find any feedback or review on it.

 

Can someone who have tried it can give share his experience?

The graphite design driving iron shaft

 

That does make a difference. There is a GD AD utility shaft, a GD AD driving iron shaft, and multiple weight GD AD iron shafts.

That does make a difference. There is a GD AD utility shaft, a GD AD driving iron shaft, and multiple weight GD AD iron shafts.

Actually, after his clarification, it sounds like he's asking about this one, not the hybrid shaft.

I haven't seen any reference on the forum to anyone using that one. Most people seem to be trying the hybrid shaft instead.

I put two of GD 85g driving iron shafts in my Ping G25 hybrids. I was told they would launch a little lower but that does not seem to be the case. The shots are more of a mid-high trajectory and have that nice smooth Graphite Design feel. I would say they're a little longer in distance over the stock shafts but a lot more consistent. Mine are the black version and I really like them.

 

The biggest problem was finding them. I went through Fairway Golf and they had to be custom ordered from Japan. Took about 3-4 weeks to get them and it was worth the wait.

I have a AD-DI Hybrid 105X in my Adam's hybrid (that I don't game currently) which was very smooth and similar to the driver shaft. I could launch it extremely high. But the overall club wasn't the best fit. I just swapped it for the one in my sig, the U45 20* with the AD-GT Utility 105x and what a difference it is versus the monaco I have installed in my 4iron DI. Great feel, easy launch for me and very stable. I also play the GT in my 3 wood and it's a great fit for me.

What were the results, how did you like it?

Had a 95GR AD driving iron shaft in the Srixon U65 3 20* and it was a great combo. I ended up keeping the shaft for a while and tried it in a 3 iron head (decided to go back to a normal 3 iron head) and it was not a great combo.

 

The DI shaft was very solid off tee and ground. To be honest I should have just upped from a 3 to a 2 head but I was going through some swing and bag changes and it didn't have a spot. For me it was the best DI shaft/club combo I have tried to date. Mid flight, mid spin, would roll off the tee and hold greens.
