ok so most of us have been there, fluffing an easy chip on the 16th hole and your already pissed you sent a 6 iron 189 yards (10yrds further than you've ever hit one) and in anger you turn around and see your putter laying there helpless and you smash it with the back of your wedge just cause you want to break something..... and dont break 80 for the first time ever.

am I right?

any way this putter of which I really really like, has a small gash in the face and some of the sound slot has caved in on itself.... is there any hope or machine or something that can reface the putter and possibly make it better than its ever been?

fluffing a chip? been there many times. missing the green? been there many times. damaging my own equipment? can't relate to that one. but I'm thinking likely some others can. I heard of someone once who took every one of their clubs, broke them in half, and buried them. made them feel better - then they went out and got a new set.....

I would say keep it as is, buy a new putter, and get this one out of the bag while you chip. Once on the green and if you are satisfied with your performance to this point, retrieve your good putter and putt out. Keep this one handy until the ball is in the cup just in case you flub a putt and need something to throw.
Might I also suggest a small flask of Bushmills and a 30 day supply of Xanax!

You should be able to get another one on eBay for about the same price that you got that one for. I don't know how much can be done to it. Maybe try and wedge it apart with a screw driver or something along those lines.

You've got to aim for the shafts when you do those types of things, much easier to replace. I really hope you find some one that can help though.
