Those look so good, and I especially like that the ARC is closed. When I hit down on a shot a little, its a booger to clean it out.

Really like the look and the technology they have added, will be interested to see how the weight bar affects shots off the turf. I know that these clubs will be in my bag. Wish they would have made a 21 degree for lefties.

I'm slightly surprised that these FWs are getting no buzz compared to the drivers. I guess the nonperformance in the testing of the drivers is driving more attention.

I really want to try the f3 out, but I just got a 915Fd and it's a bomber for sure. If I can swing a deal on a head, I may bite the bullet.

The WRX review didn't show too much differwnce between the 2 the 915 and 917 especially in the f3 version

The fd is bigger than the f3?

I hope not , wouldn't the slot on the fd lower the cc measurement ? Water displacement etc

The F3 looks really good. Wish they were coming out with a 16.5 version of it.(I know they have one in the F2, but I prefer the look of a little deeper face)

Gents,

Have some bad news regarding the quality control on the Fairway woods.

2 of the heads that came in the demo cart today had the Surefit CG come loose behind the screw that is supposed to lock the Surefit CG in place.

Couldn't hit either the 13 or the 16.5, even though the screw was torqued in fully.

I am sure I am an outlier, but I am not interested in CG adjustability in a fairway. Someone who has trouble with a driver off the tee may benefit though. I am going to stick with the 915F as the sound and feel is much better than the 915D's and not reason enough to change. The driver is a different story and there may be a reason to switch, but that remains to be seen.

About 30 yards behind what he hit the M2

Steady Foresight smash at 1.45 is the reason why my friend....normally he is around 1.4 with his fairway smash. Run the numbers with his normal smash and it's almost a wash.

Lol that makes absolutely no difference to anything "my friend". The only thing that does is to spit out a swing speed number. I could set it 1.8 it doesn't change the ball numbers.

You're kidding right? You better check your facts again sir.....in fact go back and look at his reviews of any other fairway metals. If the swing speed is equal, Foresight at 1.45 fixed smash means it registers higher ball speed automatically than if it varies around 1.38-1.41....

That is not correct. Ball numbers are driven by swing speed and where on the club face the ball is hit. You could swing 100mph for 20 swings and the ball that is hit in the center of the face will have a higher smash factor/ball speed than one that is hit off the toe or face. Ian Poulter posted an instagram of his 917F2 testing where he was getting smash factors of 1.49 - 1.5 at 109mph swingspeed and thus was getting stupid high carry and total distances from a 16.5* fairway.
