pretty cheap in local shop.
Anybody gaming one of these still? I always liked putting with them and noticed they were pretty cheap In price compared to other Scottys. And I'm not talking about the huge Detour. I'm talkning about the Newport Detour.

I like them....about $250 here at my local shop...the Detour Newport 2.5 I think. It caught my eye for some strange reason. I don't like the full Detour putters, but the combo with the Newports rolls well IMHO.

    Peace.

Ebay has them for less than $100. But holy mind games, no way could I putt with that thing!

it depends a lot on your stroke... for me personally i go straight back straight through so that thing would cause mayhem!

how do you take the putter back?

Don't bring this putter to the course when it's SUNNY outside. The glare is blinding....which pretty much makes the putter useless.

I'm a Cameron fan and it's definitely his worst putter in years- IMO

Ebay has current bids that are less than 100 bucks, for now. They are selling for an average of 150-200. I've been watching them for a week now.

    Peace.

    Not sure where you're getting that. In just the last couple days there have been sales at $81, $67, $80, $78, $103, $96, $68, $86, $66, $67 and $75. I didn't see a single one sell for over $150.

    For the NEWPORT Detour?

Here are recent sale prices on Ebay-

    $151. $148, $148, $147 and then about ten more between $145 and $115. A few between $115 and $100. There were also 5 sold under $100.

Any model Newport Detour can be had for under $100. They are nowhere near the $150-200 average nobreak mentioned. You only listed one over $150 and that was $151. image/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> And you found at least 5 under $100.

I think people still confuse the 2 detour models.

I would love to throw one in a lake....

I tried one, feel was OK, but the looks were less than desireable. Not sure those went over all that well...

The regular Detour putter is horrid, in looks and roll IMHO. The detour model was a lot better looking at address and felt ok.

Yeah but the regular Detour is deadly beyond 25 feet or so.

And the NP Detour is just a hack job- IMO.

I used to have one of the big Detours. You couldnt miss with it from inside of 6 feet. The face is so long that it was almost impossible to not line up corectly.

That'd be an easy way to get the "better" look of the regular Newport, especially if you knew how to weld and refinish the holes.

Weight would probably be completely messed up but who knows.

    hmmmmm....*thinks about the possibilities*
