New Putter pics (SAMM Report Added)

Hi guys,

The day has finally arrived. This package came today from Fedex AND MADE ME A HAPPY MAN.

I had been drooling over all the pics Chris has been posting so finally dropped him a pm on bit the bullet. I was looking for a fatback center shaft and Machine said no problem. Chris really got me started going through all the options, believe me there are many, and then she was born.

These guys can do anything you want. Weight, length, look, finish, anything you can think up they can do. the thing I love is the ajustability. With the many internal weight as well as being able to screw on any back flange you can make your putter perform to suit any stroke.

Chris was so helpful, nothing was ever too much, and I was lucky enough to have a few chats with Dave Billings. Again great to talk to and took so much time with me, listened and answered all my stupid questions. He was not happy with the way a few things came out so he sent the putter back and kept working until it was perfect. He was also generous with his knowlage of the stroke and advised me on technique changes that have also really worked.

The quality of the putter is first class, has a great look and the strike it lovely and soft. I think thats down to the great face milling.

There is no doubt I will get another of these masterpieces, next time with a more funky finish.

Congrats on the putter!! Looks sweet. I hope you enjoy it. I ordered a MA2 back in November and the wait is killing me. I keep hoping to get a call or email any day from Dave saying that they are working on it.

The putter looks fantastic. Love the milling on the face and the finish on rest of the club looks like quality all the way.

 

The set screws on the back, do they allow you to do some weight adjustment?

Yes you can move weights around for more or less weight or change the toe hang or even negative hang. You can also bolt on different backs to totally change the look. The photos are with the fat back but I also got a blade back and it looks great with that also. Tough to decide which one to go with.

 

I hope this putter will be in the bag a while.

So glad the putter arrived safely (at last!).

 

GREAT photos! Thanks so much for the great review, and also helpful info for the other members.

 

For everyone else, Rod's putter has some extra TLC and TIG welding on the center shaft, and on plugging the old hosel socket, top and bottom.

 

Rod, I am really looking forward to working with you on your next MACHINE, including the finish and offset center shaft, etc.

Wow. Great looking putter, Rod. Can you give us more information about it? What type of metal is it made from? How does it feel?

 

Rods putter is a MACHINE M2A Converter. The head is made out of 303 Stainless. The Fat Back Flange is also made out of 303 Stainless. The Neck is a Tig Weld Centershaft that Dave has ground down the bead on for a cleaner look while still leaving a little bead.

 

As with all of our MACHINE Converter Putters, the flange has 4 interchangeable weights as well as 2 mounting screws for the flange. The benefit of this is that as Rod has previously stated, you can change out the flange to your hearts desire if you want a new look. You can choose from any of the flanges we offer for example the Blade Back, the Fat Back and the Tongue Back. We are also working on the Double Fat Back and the Boat Back, the Nibble Back, the Low Tide Nibble Back as well as some more which I shall show pics of in the following days leading up to the PGA Show.

Hi guys and gals,

 

I have now been using my new Machine a few days and I have to say its fantastic.

 

I went yesterday and had a session on the SAM Putt lab, which I have attached(I hope) and the results were amazing. The test I have attached was the first 5 putts I hit, no practice. As you can see the putter worked great. I was bringing it back to impact to within .2º of where I aimed and if you look the rotation numbers are amazing. I use to be in the double figures open on the backstroke and the same closed on the follow through so those are amazing. It shows me aiming right but we think the putt lab was calibrated wrong as I holed all 5 putts.

 

Also due to the balance and weight the rythm of my stroke was spot on, something I have never had before. I had been on the system before with many putter and have never had so many good results with any putter in the past.

 

I was truly amazed at the results and I hope that they will get more consistent over time. What a great product.

Thanks for the great follow up report! Your SAM numbers look soooo much better! I am very happy for you my friend!

 

It is very gratifying to see such good before and after results. It is validates that getting fit for the right putter (even from across the big pond!) can make measured improvement in one's performance.

 

Keep up the great putting, and hope you are now making everything you think you should, and having success in your tournaments.
