How do you guys keep them looking so good? My shield tips looked like crap after one wear.

Clean them as soon as you can! If the course has an air hose, I blow them clean, tops and bottoms. At least a brush on the bottoms if possible. Ceder shoe trees go in them as soon as they come off. When I get home from the course, the trees come out and I wash the bottoms clean and the uppers with one drop of soap. Rinse and pat dry with an old towel and then air dry at room temp with the shoe trees back in them.

 

The next day some high quality leather cleaner/conditioner on the uppers. Every couple of wearings, some appropriately colored shoe cream helps as well. This is especially helpful for white colored areas that get wrinkles or creases from normal wear. And you should always wait about three days between wearings to let the shoes dry completely. They'll last a lot longer that way and it gives you a good excuse to have several different pairs. :-)

 

This pair of all white Icons have over 50 rounds on them and they're five years old. They still look great!

What Don said and I'll add in Maguire car upholstery wipes as soon as you get home.. Rotate the pairs as well!

I'm hard on shoes as I wear 12.5 XW ... I rotate thru them a lot and our course offers free cleaning. I also wear one of my 20+ pairs of "more casual shoes" to the range

Key is cleaning them right after--I hit the locker room and wipe off top and bottom with a warm damp towel. If still dirty, a little soap to clean.

 

Then I stuff with paper towels, take those out before bed, and shoe tree them. Next wear, examine and polish or condition as appropriate.
