Black Oxide for your Hybrid ...

We recently had a Player contact us about doing this and questioned it . Come to find out he had seen another one of our players putter that he had sent to BOS . Just got it back today and they did a fantastic job . So , I can't Torch it but you can Black Oxide it ! Enjoy and hope you like it .

Idea pro has been mentioned by quite a few people. Thanks to the guy w/ the ebay link. I am Kind mid launch player, just worried the vs might be kinda low ball flight for me though.

Man that looks GOOD! I want to get this done to my hybrid. Do you know roughly what the finish and paintfill cost is?

I forgot to tell you that i did a paintfill on my hybrid too.

BLACK: the 2 and circle, the word mallet, both outline and word rife on insert also black

RED: the word rife and two bar

Looks great! :yes: Oddly I was just trying the Tour 2 Bar Hybrid Blade and Tour 2 Bar Hybrid Mallet. I loved the plumbers neck on them as well as the black finishes. I just couldn't decide on which head shape I liked better and if I was a "mallet guy". :pardon: I'll definitely have to go back to the shop and roll them again. Unfortunately the mallet was cut down by a previous owner to 32" wayyy short for me. :D

why would someone do this when you can buy the tour hybrid already done in black? just curious. i rolled one at martins yesterday and man it is so nice...that my plans to get a new putter in a traditional style like newport 2 are quickly going out the window.

With those two bars and the smaller shape i could really see the white line nice against the black and the bars helped me visualize a track to the hole. so no offence..why pay to make black?

It is actually a multi-fold answer . First I had someone on here that wanted a torched Hybrid which is very labor intensive , so I posted this as a option for him and anyone else that might be interested . Second of the 2 that were done by BOS the first one was done by a Mini Tour Player on his own and the second we had done for a Nationwide Tour player after he saw the other one while playing . As to why, that's simple both players prefered the Black finish but both players were fit and putted better with a heel shafted putter not the plumbers neck that is offered on the Tour Hybrid . I'm glad to hear that you liked the Putter that you tried .

I guess i assumed that there were multiple neck configurations etc that came in the tour model not just one.

I was going to get a simply std putter design but the alignment of that tour hybrid is just like they advertise, like train tracks aiming at your putting line or the hole. Just beautiful.

sorry didnt know about the limited black options, makes sense now.

I was the one interested in torching a hybrid. I bought the hybrid when it came out and there was no black finish then.
