They changed the weight port so hopefully they sell them individually or in kits for swingweighting.

If the D-type is a draw biased that will be Interesting, but it does look like a smaller footprint than the regular one

The only thing they could improve was the sound. I'm a ping driver guy. I hit an M2 (the old one, #firstworldproblems) and it goes well.

The sole on the D-Type is all black which screams "player" to me so I'm gonna jump on board with this model being deep faced. I'm interested to hear about the new/updated tech on the new M1/M2. From the pics I have seen online, TM missed the mark with the cosmetics of these clubs to the point they are a little gaudy looking.

Not be design, pardon the pun, but it wouldn't be the first time in this world that innovation leads the legislation of an industry. I would expect the driver to be legal at first, but revised laws and testing requirements in the next cycle will render the club illegal.

I don't like to bash TM like so many others on here, but man, don't like the step here from this year's M2 which is pretty much perfect cosmetically.

 

Agreed. I don't like to bash in general. I think all the OEM's generally make good stuff and most that categorically trash any manufacturer don't know what they're talking about.

 

In this case, though, not a fan of the cosmetics. Color scheme seems off. The original M1 and M2 just looked great behind the ball.

It's clearly draw, look at the weight position. A TP logo would sell more deep faced drivers than the letter D.

Like every company, this driver has probably been in the pipeline for over a year, possibly two. So there's 0% chance of Tiger had any say in the design.

Couple leaky faucets at tmag and Callaway. Hopefully the tmag offering is better as I'm definitely leaning towards the company that doesn't get people fired for being fake angry about hype they pretend they dont want.

Like the sole of the original better, would love to see the crown! I just can't imagine switching from my original M2 with the silver KK is going to happen, probably just buy another original for a backup when they drop prices!

I think it will grow on me. I disliked the M1 when it came out but I came to accept it. Same will happen with the new stuff.

Looks like they bought that crappy paint from Nike left over stock.

 

Yep, either that or Nike are buying TM and want that hellish colour to live on.

 

I would need to remove that before putting it in my bag. I just don't think green looks good on a golf club for some reason.
