Evnroll Putters-- Amazing!!!

Recommended Posts

Just an FYI, I emailed them a question about my putter, and did not receive a repsonse after a couple days. I eventually called them, and they were very helpful and polite. It sounds like a small operation, though in this day and age I know not everyone is patient and wants immediate repsonses.

Maybe Guerin is starting small to see if his new putter line is successful? Spending tons of money on marketing, customer service, and offering lots of options on the putters is very expensive for a start-up.

That makes quite a bit of sense. It all depends how long he's been a business person (I'm pretty sure quite a while) and how long he sees this company remaining competitive. I'd say after 3-4 seasons, you should have a decent forecast of the business. At that point I'd expect an estimate on whether or not lefty clubs would be made available.

I'm honestly not sure how long this model putter, or EVNROLL has been around, so maybe it's too early for them to honestly tell if lefty models are realistic. I just hope at some point they decide to make lefty models.

What's the story with these putters and the company? I really hadn't heard a thing about them until I got an email today from MGS about "the best putter we've ever tested (game- changing technology)". Well, color me intrigued, but the MGS review reads like a infomercial more than an unbiased review.

I read that article and I call B.S. I generally like MGS and have donated money to them before, but the article was crap. "The ball curves toward the hole." Nope, sorry, I don't buy putters that defy physics because that just tells me the source isn't credible. I expect MGS to endorse the Overspin putter next. Talk about a credibility free fall.

It makes me wonder if MGS was paid for that "review."

Edit - Now that I think of it, Guerin Rife is on his 3rd putter company. Each one had so-called revolutionary technology. Yeah, that or a marketing champ pulling the levers.

I can tell you for a fact MGS has NEVER been paid and never WILL be paid for an article!!!!!!!!!!

I know many people take Rick Shiels reviews very seriously. As a golfer that owned a putter company, and put the EVNROLL directly in the bag I completely agree with Rick.

FWIW EVNROLL finally responded; they plan to get lefty clubs available starting around March of next year. Not sure if that means they'll be taking orders around March, or if they will have physical product by then in stores. Either way that's great news. I've got the Ketsch mallet putter, so I'll be very interested in the ER6 and see how it stacks up.

Yeah Rick gets all kinds of Gear thrown at him weekly, and to hear him say " I don't think anything will make me toss this from my bag" is pretty huge. It's obviously a great putter.

He normally changes putters like most folk change underwear, so for it to have made it almost 3 months already is astounding. To have him say he can't see taking it out of his bag is another great endorsement as well.

Agree. Will be interesting to see if/when he switches and why.

My only thing with the ER6 is I wish they had the 2 extra line up lines like on the Ketsch. It helps me a ton to frame the ball up and from the pictures online it seems like they only have some "grooves" machined out of the cast piece. Wonder if I could ask them to custom paint inside that white?

was planning to get an ER2 and changed my mind last minute and bought a SC X7M. Hoping worst case the SC will hold its value if the day comes i want to switch to Evnroll, but i really liked the feel and ease of aligning the X7M. Tough to buy blind when it comes to evnroll but the reviews seem to be consistently good.

I can't get on the SC bandwagon. I know tons of pros love and use SC, but I've tested numerous ones out and they just don't seem special to me. Other than super precision, what's to write home about other than brand name? Not saying I'm an EVNROLL fanboi (yet) but it still has name recognition if you knew who designed them, and there's actual technology on the face. As far as I know, a SC is just milled..? Unless you're already a very good putter, a SC can't help you get better like an EVNROLL potentially could. Correct me?

Figure this belonged here:

Tried to embed the video but I can't figure it out. It's a video of Monte's one student talking with EVNROLL creator Mr Rife, about the putter, shows testing and goes over the technology. Worth a watch especially the last few minutes.

Wish they made a non-offset blade. If they did I'd be interested to give it a go.

Edit: To my eye, the ER1 isn't quite a blade.

2/3 shaft offset. At least that is what Cust support said. Never heard of that, only heard of none, half shaft and full shaft.

haha... to me 2/3 offset means I miss the hole 2 out of 3 times.

I got mine in the mail yesterday and have been blazing a path in my carpet. Lol. Sets up very square and feels real real nice off the face. It just makes it so easy to aim and the 2 dots work well with the line on the ball.

My observations mirror yours. What version did you get?

How does the hatchback compare in shape to the odyssey 7? I am currently putting great with this head shape, but am curious about this technology

Its different, but very comparable. I liked both

I'm loving the look of these but here in the UK they simply aren't around to test.

I have thought the current Scotty's are fairly firm, a little clicky - how do the Evnrolls compare, can anyone give us a steer on feel?

Thanks.

for me, softer than scotty's, I thought they felt much better due to the heavier heads, but I like that

also not a scotty fan...
