Anyone still have Scratch irons or wedges in the bag?

I recently switched from SM5's to some Scratch wedges and man these things are smooth! I haven't hit the irons yet, still debating on finding a set, but if they are anything like the wedges, my Mizuno's might have to take a back seat. Anyone still have the irons from this now defunct company?

I barely started gaming these a couple months ago, picked up a set of raw Jeff McCoy tour grinds. There are quite a few McCoy or Don White sets that come up on the classifieds. I believe will peoples still has a set. You occasionally see AR1 and SB sets come up on eBay for a decent price.

2 AR/EZ combo sets, one of which is raw.

1 raw EZ square toe set and a proto set of DW's

 

A few DW wedges and McCoy wedges as well! :)

1 raw set of SB1's, Star stamping.

 

1 raw set of EZ Square Toes, 4 leaf clover stamping.

 

1 raw set of AR/EZ combo, Pac Man stamping.

 

3 TD wedges, 53/58/60

 

And to top it off, I just bagged Ryan Moore's custom set of AR's with Don White's magic all over them, 20 degrees to 48 degrees. Cant wait..!!

various lies. Also a 3 & 4 iron.

When the wedges wear out - don't look forward to the effort to replace the feel and grinds.

Too bad it didn't work out for him. They got to the point where Golftown started stocking some of their irons, and they also got on GD hotlist.

 

Lefty selection was never great. I always wanted a set of EZ

I still have a 1018 60 and a fit 56. I have a back up for the 60 I like it so much. I do not like the fit as well and I never got along with the 8620 series. I don't know what I will do once I wear ot the 60s that I have.

Sadly tomorrow will probably be my last round with my Scratch wedges. Have played them since 2011, when I got my 1st one. Have 3 of the 8620's in the bag for the last 4 years with KBS Tour shafts. Finding these clubs in the right grind/bounce/shaft combo took my short game from being hands down the worst part of my game to the best. But they really should have been replaced last year, especially the 60, but I put it off because I knew I would never find anything like these again. The new SM6 in the M grind probably comes the closest, but I didn't want to drop $150 per wedge. Picked up 3 of the MD3 wedges on Wednesday when CPO was offering the BOGO sale. Got the 52 in the S and the 56 and 60 in the C. I will see what happens. Should be here sometime next week, but not in time for my scramble tomorrow.

 

Really wish Scratch was still around. IMO if they would have stuck with their original plan of offering tour level wedges, grinds and upgraded shafts, with free stamping for like $100, in addition to all the hand ground/custom stuff they would still be around. Huge market for the 8620 style wedge with different grinds/options. Outside of this website, I cannot think of any single market for $300 hand ground wedges and $2000 hand ground iron sets. Such a small market, that no way they were gonna be able to survive on that. Which is a shame, bc their wedges were the best.

I'm assuming the latter are the original scratch wedges and the 8620 wedges came out later? And is there any way to tell if either are conforming?
