I have a 905T 9.5* w/ Fuji Speeder Stiff. I like this club, I really do. There is a slightly closed face (I think) that annoys me at times but it's not of TM r7 proportions. I have picked up about 20 yards on my old 975J and I'm a lot straighter with it. Make a good swing and the ball will be a long way down there on the short stuff. Make a bad swing and you won't necessarily go OB, but 20 yards either side is where I go on my bad swings. It's not the longest, and it's not the straightest, but overall, it's a fine driver IMO

I have this driver with the Titleist Speeder in a 9.5* loft. I really like it.

LOOKS:

At address the head looks very nice. It has the black Titleist finish that seems to fit right behind the ball

DISTANCE:

The driver isn't the longest but it's quite close. You get a lot of distance out of swinging the club smooth. It's hard to get a lot more extra distance from lashing at the ball, you might get 10 yards but the risk of a bad shot isn't worth it. Definitely it's better to swing smooth for the best results on this driver

FORGIVENESS:

The head is plenty forgiving for a Titleist and I expected it to be less forgiving than it is. Of course, if you're swinging like a hacker it won't be for you. On off-centre hits the ball loses about 15 yards on perfect strikes but it still stays on the fairway.

In conclusion, I think this driver is a solid, middle of the road driver that is cheap thanks to the release of the 905R and is perfect for good players looking for a Titleist driver

I love mine! I like the way it looks and the performance is great for me. I used this driver for most of last season. I recently put a Rombax 80B Prototype shaft in it and I think it will be a great combo. Unfortunately for me the season ended before I got the chance to really give it a try. I am a very happy 905T owner!

The 905T is good but the 905R is better. higher launch+ less spin=greater distance. The 905T isnt bad or anything, i just like the feel and results of the 905R more.

Higher launch+less spin does mean more distance. Only problem is, R spins more than the T so this is wrong. To be honest tho, the R is a better club...feels hotter and is certainly more forgiving. But the R is pretty hard to get fit for and alot of people have issues with how high the spin rates are.

Well I traded in my TM superquad got what I paid for it $250 and bought the 905T, used it on the course today and once I got used to it I was hitting the crap out ofit! Fits me well, lowered my trajectory, lowered my back spin like I wanted, and was able to knock out there pretty freaking good. Played from the blues, and had pw and sw into a few par 4's. Really happy with it.. hope it continues.

I bought my 905t after playing a round with a demo at a local course last year--right before the R's came out.

The T was sweet when I caught it in the middle. Which wasn't as often as I liked. There was a huge difference with my misses. The shaft I got was too soft, so rather than reshafting, I bought a 905R with the V2 stiff.

904R is more forgiving on off center hits. It seems go straighter than my T, but part of that could be the new shaft.

Overall, I think the T feels better, but I can hit the R much better, so I'm keeping the R.

I think the T is underrated in general.

I purchased a 8.5 degree head this past spring. I really had a tough time finding the right shaft for it. I tried a RP Tour Vector 75 (ok) an Accuflex Evolution (less than ok) and finally tried a Rapport Blue Velvet and it's nice. It has a mid trajectory and has less draw bias than a 983K. I hit this straight to fade, but can draw it if needed. Overall solid driver.

I've been trying it for about a week with a YS-6 Stiff Shaft. I will proabaly have to change the shaft, but I have gone from having a Ping G5, R7 425, a Burner TP, and a HiBore in the last six months to this Driver. It has the most explosive face of any Driver I've hit and I find it very forgiving. I would recommend it as long as you find the right shaft to pair it up with.

Keep in mind that with the club being so cheap, you can put any kind of shaft in the driver that you want for a great price!

Lack of feel, mishits are punished by a lack of distance. Needs to be hit "on the crews" to get the most out of it. Nice looking driver....

Just picked one of these up for 80 bucks with a V2 S in it. I have been playing TM for the past couple years and I must say that this is a very solid driver. I think I may have found my new gamer. I am able to work the ball both ways with this driver something I was having trouble doing with my TM. Can't wait to get it out on the course. I will give an update in a few weeks. So far so good.Kyle

Super late to the 905T game but here it goes. I currently play a Nike Covert Performance and was fairly satisfied with it but have been itching to play an older Titleist. I was mainly looking at the 905 series but was willing to try the 907 or 909's as well. As luck would have it, I went to a driving range that has a decent selection of used clubs and they had a 9.5° 905T with an NV 65 for $80. I got him down to $50 and I walked out the door with it. I put a new grip on it and hit a few balls with it prior to my league match but decided against using it until my casual round on Monday.

I'm happy to report that this thing is everything I was hoping for. Solid Titleist driver feel to it, very persimmon-esque. No titanium sound out of this club. Medium ballflight with a straight to slight fade shot pattern, which is normal for me. Now, I'm attributing my gained distance and control mainly to the shaft because I've had a pretty good relationship with the NV 65 and DVS 55, but the head deserves credit too. My next project is to find a NV 65 and put it in my Covert and see where it heads but for now, I love the 905T. Pick one up for cheap and you'll be happy.

Anyone still gaming this driver? Dug mine out of the basement for a goof (along with my PING s58 irons, 2-pw) and shot a great round with it. Damn this driver feels nice! Also played pro v1's, shots felt buttery and spin was not a problem. Gonna ditch my current gamers for some nostalgia.
