How Long Have You Had Your Irons?

I have had my current adams irons since Dec 2007 before that I had some after puberty Titleist Dci 962 that I was gaming since the late 90's my Sw has been in the bag for 13= years going to get replaced soon. The driver and putter are on their own

 

wow thanks for the memories because i had those titleist dci's aswell (well they were my dads) but he would always let me try and have a swing with them

 

couldnt really hit them cause i was only about 7 ;)

but none the less felt special that i was hitting titliest irons

I had a set of Callaway x-tours for 4 years then when the VR line came out i decided to get a set of the blades , didn't like the blades sent them back and got the VR split - cavities

About 5 years and counting...I like them, so I see no need to replace. I may try to find a back up set for when they need an overhaul though.

June of 2007 I got my current set. Went to Golf Galaxy, tried everything in the store, took 3 hours getting fit, and bought my Taylormade R7 TPs. After all the time I spent getting fit I found out that I'm standard lie and length, and they've been great ever since.

Got my Bridgestone j33 combo set right here on WRX in June of '07 while I had a broken wrist. Didn't get to play 'em til '08 season. Love 'em. They're staying.

NEGATIVE 12 hours, I sold my old irons a week ago and orderd my new irons that very day and in an other 12 hours they should be coming to my doorstep.

P.S The old irons were TM rac tp mb forged blades with rifles new irons much much more forgiving Tour Burners with stock fuji graphite shafts

10 years in the bag.

My lovely wife was tired of my constant purchasing of clubs 10 years ago, she gave me a $500 gift certificate for Christmas and told me to buy a set of clubs I liked and be done with it for a while. The 1-3's had just hit the market, they have been in the bag ever since, with of course an occasional new driver, wedge or fairway wood. i keep wanting to switch but cant really find anything that hits the ball much better, plus that I am extremely comfortable with them, and of course when you consider Pings legendary durability they just have not left the bag. I have noticed that the 7 and 8 iron are starting to wear on the sweetspot a bit being that they are the clubs I hit most often at the range, but until I find a set that I just cant live without, these will probably stay in the bag a while longer. Cant wait to see Pings new offerings this fall. Hmmmm....hopefully a midsize club with a moderate amount of offsett mid size sole and classic Ping look, come on Ping give me what I want.

My irons are actually the second set of the same model and have (in the case of the 4-PW) been in the bag for perhaps 18 months or so. My long irons are from the original set and have been in play for over 6 years now.

haha so true, but i can never seen to keep a driver for longer than 2 seasons

I just switched to Ping S59's but I have been playing my Ping Eye 2's for most part since they were new in 1986.....

Either 3 or 4 years I've had Cobra 3100H/I love them, but gona switch once new equipment is conforming to groves rules.
