Bridgestone J15 MB vs Ben Hogan Ft. Worth vs Srixon 965 (945)

Want to buy a new set of blades and I´m interested in your opinion? Anyone hit all three? I really like the pure look of the J15 Mbs, but the v sole of the others also looks interesting.

I've hit 2 of the 3 you've mentioned. The Hogan's never felt great to me as off center strikes were very harsh. Off center strikes on any blade will communicate, but the Hogan's felt overly talkative. The Srixon's are unbelievable in their forgiveness. You know when you've missed the center, but you're not overly punished for it. The v-sole does an excellent job of not digging too deep, an issue I had with the Ft Worth's and Mizuno MP-69's I've owned.

 

In short, try the Srixon's if you can, they are outstanding.

there all good........you should hit em all and than you'll see subtle differences......personal preference and no one can help with that

I've hit all. Played the j15 for about 6 months. Great iron and typical bridgestone. Loved the sole. The hogan's were also very nice....didn't care as much for the sole on those....misses weren't as good as the j15 for me. The srixons are great and they feel awesome. Can't remember if they have tungsten in the 9 series....I think so. Sole was ok...still prefer the j15 sole.

I chose J15 over Srixon because I thought the Srixon were soft to the point of vague. Having said that, since I removed the shafts with intentions of reshafting, they've sat in a box because my Miuras got all the play this year. Part of that is pure laziness.

 

The sole on the J15 is great and the heads just feel fantastic. Oh, and the combo finish with satin face/polished back is way cool. I'd offer to sell you mine, but they go for so little on the used market, it's probably not worth it.

I was in between the srixon and bridgestone, ended up keeping the j15mb after trying both for a couple of weeks. the sole is great as previously mentioned and quite more forgiving than expected

J15 or MP5. Those for me felt the best and had adequate forgiveness on slight miss hits.
