Fusion Technology is combining a stainless steel face, sole and body with a lightweight, carbon composite crown to create a maximum perimeter weighting for exceptional stability on off-center hits.

Great choice for anyone looking , i am not a fan of the stock NVS shaft, but still a great club.

Likes: The combination of the light shaft and the extremely heavy club head helps to easily put the club in motion with a smooth swing resulting in some of the longest, most consistent shots I have ever made with a hybrid.

 

Dislikes: The Headcover for the fusion is the same as the Ben Hogan CFT Hybrids which offer no protection on the shafts.

 

Quality: As with most things Callaway, the construction is top notch as is their customer service

 

Summary: I never thought I would ever like a Hybrid better than my Heavenwoods, they were very easy to hit, got decent distance, and looked fine at address. Enter the FT-Hybrid to kick the heavenwoods out of my bag. I am more consistent with these and also picked up about 10+ more yards per club. I am hitting my 3h with a firm shaft about 205 where my old 3h heavenwood was good for about 190.

I can't believe I ever traded this club the first time. I added the 4h back to the bag and got a 2h. The 2h is my go to club outside of 200 yards. I can also hit it off the tee for lay up shots....great alternative to a 5 wood. The 4h is a great option outside 180-190. It's actually pretty versitile, as well, choke down and you have a 4 iron. I've tested the best and I keep coming back to this club. I will keep it for a long time.

I currently have a 17* Mizuno Fli Hi Clk which is a great hybrid as well, however I recently demoed the Titlesit 585, Adams Pro, Cally X and FT in 23*.

 

Found that both Cally were up there in length with a Fli Hi Clk in 23* however the Callys had a much tighter dispersion. The FT now a year old offers better deals on Ebay than the X and also offers netural or draw bias so overall I am going for the FT.

i love the way this club looks at address and I can really get some great distance out of it both of the tee and off the deck.

 

(not really a review point but: does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement shaft? the stock one is like a twist tie..i usually play stiff and bought a used one with a stock NVS in reg just to try out and boy i cant do a thing with it consistently..well other than 30 yards right of my target..)

I never really wanted to like a hybrid, but this thing is impressive. Most hybrids felt like messed up irons that work better but the FT is in a league of its own. The ball jumps off the face and is still going up when it gets to where my normal long irons hit the ground. Leading edge works well for digging it out of some of the more gnarled lies I manage to find. I know I'm putting bad swings on it all the time but my shot dispersion is still about that of my 6 iron.

Anyone feel like the shafts play stiffer than what is printed on the shaft? My stiff flexes feel X stiff. thx

I do. Im thinking of changing the shafts. But overall this is one heck of a club.

It is almost 2017 & my FT 4H is still my old reliable! I've tried a few others...they enjoyed flash in the pan success...but when I NEED a club to get my ball "downrange"...this club simply can't be beat!
