Greetings one and all,

To answer your question, the Boomerang works with whatever stroke you care to put on the ball. If you use an arcing stroke it generates more tops spin and drives the ball at the hole and if you use SBST it's like putting with a slice which gives you a bit more control - try it for yourself.

That's the beauty of the Boomerang - you can try whatever hair-brained ideas come into your head and if you find standing on one leg more effective than anything else - go for it! You'll notice Brian arcs his stroke and he's the record holder so who am I to argue...

Try playing your mates on the Boom for some cash and see which stroke holds up best under some real pressure (videos to youtube please but try to keep the swearing to a minimum :man_in_love:)

Emjoy your putting!

Cheers

Alex :)

Hi Matthew,

BoomerangGolf.com bought all our old Tour Packs and have since sold them on to Garage Sale Golf.com.

A lot of you guys have the old Tour Model (it's the one reviewed and pictured above) and know how good it is. And for the money they're asking I don't know how they have any left. We used to sell that same package for $50 + shipping! We did member's specials at $40 which is about a buck or two more than they're asking.

The only negative with the Tour Pack was the folded Carnoustie mat but there are ways and means to get the creases out - just read our FAQ page for the best ones. However for $30 you're getting something that's thoroughly addictive, provides tip top feedback, is built like a brick xxxxhouse and will last you decades - providing you don't stand on it.

Enjoy your putting and keep on Booming!

Cheers

Alex :good:

What kind of surface(s) can this be used on? My basement floor is tiled, 12 inch tiles, and I was wondering if the boomerang would work ok on this surface. My understanding is the mat is fairly thin, so i don't know if the grout lines/tile edges will pose a possible problem.

works Ok on my 12" tile.

Could be. But the "2008 version" on boomgolf.com includes the 12 foot mat.

One can always do 8 feet or less with a 12 foot mat! But not more than 8 with the 8 foot mat.

why does it look like it doesn't include any mat? Looks like its 40 bucks just for the boomerang, another 20-40 for a mat.

Does it come with a mat or not? The website lists things as mentioned in FJKs post. Just trying to figure out what I should be ordering.

No the one from boomgolf.com (pro model) does not come with the mat you have to order that seperate. I just ordered mine and it cost me $107 and change for the boomerang and the mat:(

The tour model does look better with the pool table felt and is made with thicker plastic. It's also more forgiving and easier to get in and outs. Only problem is that over time the felt wears down and you can see the felt change colors where the balls hit the most.

Pro model has a harder material and also uses a cup with a harder plastic. Its much harder to get an in and out with the newer model.

Just purchased the Tour model from boomeranggolf.com and have not heard anything from them yet. It has been a couple of days now. Are they still in business or did I just send $48 to a closed account. Kinda worried now..

In my Humble Opinion. The Boomerage is a toy and will not fix your bad putting stroke. It wont make you read the speed of any greens and in my Humble Opinion is waste of money. I can make up a game like that in my home with anything. If you want to get a Putting Aid that Truly will give you a Better Putting stroke and can go to the course very easily in your Bag. It has to be without a doubt The IDL Stroke Putting Track by Momentus. Once again Momentus has come up with another unbelievable Product. The IDL Stands for Inside Down the Line. Butch Harmon endorsed and used by all of his students. You can take it to your practice green and make putts with it. It gives you the Perfect Stoke. I recently went to the PGA show and tried all of the putting aid this was by far the best.
