Who has played it? What is the feedback? Looks nice from their website, but so do a lot of courses.

It's not bad. Pretty boring layout with the back 9 routed through housing. Pretty easy course.

Generic "nice" neighborhood course. It has some good holes but it is nothing special and falls solidly in the middle of the pack for courses in the area. It is also out in the middle of nowhere and I underestimated just how long it would take me to get there when I played it last year. Not worth the drive from where I live more than once.

What they said ^^. When I was down in that area, I asked a few people what was a good course to play. Got to stop asking old people. ;) Other than about 3 holes, there was nothing memorable about it. Pretty wide open making it senior and woman friendly for the most part (most holes you can run it up to the green if that's your style). If you are going to choose between courses in that area, Johnson Ranch is far better (JR gets poor reviews on GolfNow but the guys that put them in must be complete a-holes because I've never had anything but good, friendly service).

I don't fully agree with the comments on Poston. While it is true that it is not worth a drive just to go play the course, it is a pretty decent course.

The fairways are very blah - agreed, but the greens, their difficulty and condition are top notch.

As for Johnson Ranch, those reviews are quite accurate Socrates....unfortunately, they schedule 7/8 minute tee times, and the service is generally pretty bad. The front 9 is a not very good. The back 9 on the other hand is very good.

...and I found out that apparently JR, in continued stupidity have swapped the 9's. So the 9 that runs through the mountains is now the front and you finish with a boring back.
