I own a 917 that's on the chopping block (I wouln't say it's a POS but doesn't stack up distance wise). When referring to MM (a guy from I'm assuming Florida, with an ugly monkey for an avatar) who's constantly sh!tting on any and everything Titleist, and says so in every thread with Titleist in the name. I didn't want to say his name to statisy his over the top hatred for everything Titleist. And me agreeing with Tai's post gives a bit of unwanted validation to all his crazy posts.

 

So yes in conclusion I know it was sarcasm :-)

 

But the LTD is the best driver ever!!!! I also have a 917 that just sits in the corner knowing it's inferior compared to M1 and Epic and LTD. Mind you...I've always played my best golf with a Titleist driver in the bag as I tend to keep them in play. 280 and straight can trump 300 and crooked in a hurry. For whatever reason, I was hitting my old 913 out there within a yard all day a round last year with my M1, good for good.

 

That being said, I am looking forward to my SZ lol.

Have fun man, I'm not sure there's anything there you haven't already had your eye on.. but definitely interested to hear what surprises you.

 

Actually.. as I type this.. the new Srixon ball, new ProV1x, any Tiger related Bridgestone developments, the new Bridgestone irons/woods, new TM irons/wedges, new TM ball. :)

If I had a wish list, it would be putters and balls. I love my Toulon, but wonder if either the Evnroll or O-Works can top it. And the balls, like Tai said. Thanks!

Ball speed is the new buzz word on wrx, count how many times you hear "increased ball speed". Pro tip, hang around the callaway booth to up the count.

Damn new balls coming out....btw I did get the test prov1x balls....see if the new 2017 prov1x putts shorter than the current 2015 or if it's in my head...all good things to look at. I'd be curious if u think an iron can beat out your 745s...

Yeah for me it was a somewhat failed experience. It was straight but fell short of my SLDR 430 by a bit, and I'm not a real long hitter so giving up distance is no bueno.

A lot people are looking forward to the SZ and 440.

Haha 917 isn't on my hotlist. I did hit the D3 today in a GD tour TP and thought it was a good stick though. Demo day pics below. Today isn't the best day for pics so I only took a few. More to come tomorrow and Thursday when I don't have 10 people waiting in line to hit the club in my hand. I'll do my best to get what people want.

 

My main focus is shafts, putters, and balls. Driver wise I know I'm moving into M series or Epic although the Cobra F7+ surprised me today, it might be on the radar.

 

Sizemore wedge is awful in person not just in pics. Srixon balls getting a lot of buzz I actually ate lunch with 2 srixon reps and they said they improved the ball in every way even in the wind. Titleist , Callaway, and TM booth were hopping the Ping booth was very blah. Bettinardi was disappointing didn't see anything new or cool to be honest. Hopefully tomorrow they will have some unique stuff at the booth. Also planning on check the Tyson lamb stuff just to see if it actually exists

Go hit the cally 3 woods..is the f7+ matte finish? What you like about it? Is it "sub zero" tech like the LTD was? Those Golf bikes are badass, they have a attachment for clubs or have to backpack them?

Yonex blades were very nice although I didn't get a chance to hit them because I was starving and impatient. Other blades I really liked were the Srixon 965's. I'll get more pics of them.

Finally hit Cally 3 wood in 13.5 loft in both SZ and Stanard. I think if I went with the standard I would do the 13.5 and the SZ would be 15*. Both were really good. F7+ has different options but yes I hit a matte black version. Really nice looking head and just felt really easy to hit. I just wish with all of these heads they included or made available weight kits.

The 965's are really nice. Was able to hit them against my 745's and the short irons seemed about as forgiving in the 965 as the 745. I only started to notice a little difference once I got down to about the 6 or 7 iron.

965's are not a normal blade they look more like a nice CB from the top which im' fine with. I don't like super super thin top lines anymore.

It does. But why have the Arcos stuff? Makes the consumer feel like thats what Cobra put their $ into, and feels more like a gimmick to me than an R&D improvement.

IDK. I could care less about the Arcos info. F7+ has all the bells and whistles as any other driver and adapter options are better.

 

The matte black finish is great looking. Also, if you like the colorful blue they have that finish as well.

Nothing out there performing better than M2 Tour's. Give them a try.

Quick update - As entourage said the F7+ is a good stick. Cobra did a great job with it and the matte finish looks great. It's on my radar for sure.

 

I did hit the TM 750 and 770 irons and thought they did a great job with them. Look great and setup great just a matter of price. They aren't cheap so I'm interested to see how they sell. The 750 are a little smaller and fit my eye better but they did a great job with keeping them close enough where you can do blended sets with ease.

 

Saw a bunch of stuff and to be honest I'm exhausted so here are a few pics Of the TM irons since we're talking about them. The 750 is the one on the bottom in the two top line view pics and the sole pics the 750 is on the left.

Well I'm not a TM Homer, but these new irons do not have slots, and my man at the pga show here was gonna do some chit chatting with TM booth guy. I'm just curious why no slots....?

I'm definitely intrigued to hear more about your thoughts on the F7+. I've been playing the LTD since the beginning of last season, save for a VERY brief stint with an M2. I probably didn't give the M2 a fair crack, but the LTD has been really good. I seem to recall you didn't get on with the LTD all that well, so I'd be interested to hear how the F7+ differs from the LTD.

F7+ just has a better shape to me and I like the adjustable weight on the bottom. The issue I had with the LTD was finding the middle of the face. For some reason I just couldn't get along with it and moved on pretty quickly.

 

Below Are some of the putters I saw, I didn't edit anything as I don't have the time and I'm loading these one at a time because Golfwrx requires flash and I'm on an IPad :( Anyway I'll take some more today and give my thoughts on what I rolled later. Also take some more putter pics today.
