wouldn't be surprised if out of no where he signs to PXG. Impressed with the mizuno irons tho.

I think Brooks wants to win and begin to fulfill his potential, and having to play those woods would handicap that to some degree.

Such an EPIC response ?

Haha. Not one single player on any tour is using a PXG wood by choice. Only staffers. That says everything.

Does he bag a PW and a 48 vokey? That's confusing.....

Was thinking that myself, thought it might be a weak GW but he has a 52 Vokey as well?

I play the JPX 900 Tours and do the same thing. PW, 48, 52. I bent the PW 1 degree stronger and the 52 1 degree weaker. The Vokey wedges don't go very far IMO. So it's nice gapping from my experience.

Mizuno messed this one up. He's totally outfitted in Nike. He has a Nike bag. TM already has his win up on their website for their Driver. Nobody outside golfwrx types know he even plays MIzuno irons.

Mizuno USA Golf webpage? Still got a nice Chris Woods recommends page:(

Mizuno USA's Website sucks so bad it's ridiculous.... Mizuno Europe Website is great in contrast.

Seems as if the Mizuno USA Web content folks are lazy or just terrible at their jobs.

Europe has it on the home page http://golf.mizunoeurope.com/

I play tours also. My set-up is PW-45 GW-50 SW-55 LW-60. Maybe a bit unusual but works ok for me. I too am baffled that Chris Wood and Luke Donald are the face of Mizuno. Not inspiring to say the least. BK would be great but I'm afraid he will be switching soon. Don't blame him. He'll need the money to keep that girlfriend happy! Oh, ummm.... I mean new girlfriend! (Thanks for pointing that out FOX)

Cool article written by Jonathan Wall at PGATour.com on Brooks' winning bag and the backstory to him switching to the Mizuno irons.

http://www.pgatour.com/winners-bag/2017/06/18/brooks-koepka-u-s-open-winner-s-bag-erin-hills.html

A couple interesting takeaways..

1. They designed the JPX Tour with Brooks in mind while he was STILL at Titleist staffer and before he switched to Nike?

2. Mentions that there is a new Mizuno item coming that will replace the Nike Vapor Fly Pro driving 3 iron he has. What could this be!? Mizzy's approach to a the TMB / UDI or other utility irons? Replacement for MP H5?

I understand that Mizzy tends to introduce new products around the British Open with retail release in September so hopefully we will get an official overview of the MP18 very soon..

The JPX900 Tour's look amazing. I've owned previous JPX Pro line irons and never liked the look, but these awesome with the satin finish. May be the ones to replace the ap2's.

Hopefully the new Mizuno driving iron is something like the old MP Fli-Hi driving irons.

Obviously, it's an awesome win. I find it interesting that his irons have X100 and his wedges have S400. According to True Temper's scale, the S400 is much stiffer than the X100. The difference is greater than R300 to S300. Must be working for him...

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1274354-x100-vs-s400-tour-issue/?do=findComment&comment=12819602

The x100 is stiffer in flex than the S400, BUT the S400 is heavier.

Perhaps because PXG isn't issuing Driver contracts like Taylormade...now that says everything!

I tried the PXG 0811X (9*) and 2017 TM M1 both 8.5 and 9.5 heads on a Full Swing simulator.

AD-DI and GP shafts in the M1's; different shaft in the PXG..see sig.

Distance was a little better with the PXG and lower spin.

If you're honestly saying PXG drivers are better than Taylormade at Tour level swing speeds, I don't even know how to respond to that except by saying again, not one single non staffer on Tour is playing one, and not one single free agent put one in the bag when nobody was paying.

Does he bag a PW and a 48 vokey? That's confusing.....

Was thinking that myself, thought it might be a weak GW but he has a 52 Vokey as well?

I agree it does seem odd and not anything I've seen in other WITB. Why carry to PWs?

If he bends his Mizuno JPX 900 Tours (stock 46 degree) one degree strong that's still only a 3 degree gap.

I do the exact same thing. 4-PW (45* PW), 48/54/60 vokeys. The distance gap is perfect.

He probably likes the grinds but wanted more bounce. 48* bent to 50 and 52* bent to 54/55*. Then the 60*.
