Arizona Memberships

Hey guys,

I am looking to join a golf club in the Paradise Valley area. Just wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations or if anyone else is looking that has already done some shopping. I have two clubs I am currently looking into, but am still unsure.

1. Gainey - From what I have seen, Gainey seems okay and decently priced. However I have seen a lot of information that members are leaving due to issues with getting tee times and members not being a priority compared to resort guests.

2. Camelback Golf Club - I love Camelback, but it is a tad more pricey initiation than Gainey. They actually cap their members so from everyone I have talked to there are no issues with tee times. I haven't reached out yet, but a friend of mine told me they just added some more benefits to their memberships.

Has anyone played at these clubs or been a member?

I used to be the assistant pro at camelback.....great place, courses are really good....especially ambiente but Padre is a nice change of pace and presents a totally different challenge. Not the biggest fan of their practice area though but everything else there is solid.

Another option may be Moon Valley....I know they are offering decent rates at $350 per month for a jr. membership, not sure on your age or the course since I haven't been, but may be worth considering....
