He needs to bunker down for 2 years for this latest rebuild. Thats the routine he has committed to throughout his career for whatever mind boggling reason, truly unbelievable what this man has done to himself and his career. Sure he has 14, arguable the best to ever play but wow, just wow. Basically done at 32.

Not a chance, and I was once a huge Tiger fan. He just can't compete with the Dustin Johnsons and Jason Days. You see the 602 yd hole (7th I believe) where JD and DJ hit to 10 ft. on their 2nd shot and Tiger had to lay up? His putting is still strong but still late and pushing right and doesn't have the distance or endurance these younger guys have. Almost sad to see but is reality - we all get older!

Just to put his long game in perspective, his strokes gained putting was over 1.5 yesterday. Strange that his putter is so hot after a long layoff.

Just saw highlights from his round today...obviously Tiger is very tournament rusty. He was all over the map today...shot 4 over and had a bunch of up and downs. Would love to see him find it and mix it up with the young flat bellies (and I'm not a Tiger fan)

 

"Highlights?". Not exactly. Browsed and haven't seen anyone say it: he's done. Finished. The best he could do would be dragging around as the number 50 or 100 golfer in the world. His body is trying to tell him: give it up. Just too many physical issues to recover from. I am a huge Tiger fan, and I just want him to stop, too painful too watch, too painful for his body.

If I remember correctly, Ben Hogan had a saying, "you gotta dance with the one that brung ya".........meaning, if it's going right or left, then play for it. Apparently Tiger is not a follower of that assessment. It looks as though he's fighting his swing and trying to regain his old form, After injuries and repairs and age creeping up, sorry it just ain't gonna happen. IMO, he needs to really re-assess his outlook on his swing and body and hopefully back off and swing smoother and perhaps adjust shafts accordingly. I fear if he does not, we just may see a forced retirement due to another injury.

No, he has strong lordosis (lower back curve), which makes his abs protrude and chest cave in.

 

Mainly the source of his back issues is right there in his posture.

 

Not to be confused with lardosis, which tends to curve the lower back and hide one's belt buckle...and feet for those more severely affected.

You should trademark that name. I fully understand the delibilitating affects lardosis can have on a golf game.
