I know winners get invited but wasn't sure if there was a cutoff. (Perhaps he gets invited to 2018?)

Yes Rahm gets invited. The cutoff for winning an event to get in is the week prior to the Masters. And Thomas is already in as well.

other big events too...plus now exempt through the 18/19 season.

It was only a matter of time before he got a W.

 

Watched him last summer at Congressional where I thought he'd pull through, but just a little bit of bad luck and inexperience got the best of him.

I think that this year's Masters has been setup to be one of the most interesting ones in years.

I always look forward to The Masters. Especially with all of the expanded coverage now. This year is really going to be a mix of something special and something really sad. All of the young guns playing for the jacket - and the first tourney after we lost Arnie.

It will be an emotional one for sure and I really hope they do something nice for him. A true legend of the game and the Masters. I think each participant should be given a commemorative model of Arnie's "8802" style putter like the one below, and have it be the only putter allowed to be used in the par 3 contest.
