Spoke with Shaun today on the phone and told him about my misses (mainly high and to the right with a little cut). This crossed up move I've been goofing around with is dumping me under coming down. I gained a lot of speed from it but it isn't any good for me or the houses to the right on the course!

Shaft is getting too across the line and falls under. It worked wonders for like a week haha. The bad part of doing exaggerations. So back to trying to get the clubhead hidden by the hands at the top or in the window.

A friend of mine who is a pro/teacher/+3 offered me a free lesson in exchange for lunch the other day while we were playing. So I took him up on it. He's more into old school golf and swings it nicely.

Here's his swing from the other day. How about that view from that teebox? <3

He told me I was too good to be hitting some of my wild shots (huge blocks) and had some things he wanted me to do. First he changed my grip a ltitle...my right hand was a little strong and my right thumb was on top of the shaft and you could see my left thumb. So we got my right hand covering up left thumb and getting right thumb more to the left. Then he got me into a good finish position. We practice just starting from set up and going to a finish where I'm standing straight up in balance over my left foot. Repeat over and over again for a little bit and then hit some balls just trying to finish in that spot. It was a simple thought and worked pretty well. I still wasn't getting all the way left and in balance so we did some Gary Player type swings and some other drills...just trying to be able to lift my right foot after I finish to show I was balanced on my left.

Basically just another way to stop that hip slide and get my body left instead of lower body left and upper body hanging back.

The first swing I'm just trying to pick my right foot up on the downswing and walk through. Exactly the opposite of what I've been trying to do with the GG pivot sitting into the right. No knock on GG as I was just trying his stuff off of watching videos.
