Best ball mark repair tool

What's wrong with a good, old fashioned tee???

They don't cost much, and they have done the job for many years....and, done it well, I might add

Yes. More important to know how to fix a pitch mark than what you use to fix a pitch mark. I use a single prong "pitch pro" I think it's called that Poppy Hills give away on the first tee.

I found one of these towards the end of the year and is $, easy to grip with thumb indentation part, perfect length single prong, beats the two prongs IMO.....know where I can buy one....can't seem to find the damn thing and would like to get another.

I think they started selling these at my club but it's been raining cats and dogs so I haven't been there in a few weeks. If we've got them, I'll get you one.

The Spider, insta-golf repair tool. Accept no substitutes.

https://www.amazon.c...XwcL&ref=plSrch

I've used mine for 2 seasons and counting. In most cases it's like there was never a ball mark after repairing.

I own this. I hate the damn tool. I think it is awful. And it is too big to be comfortable in my pocket.

Like seemingly everything else in golf, repair tools are a matter of personal preference, but I'm with Augster. I love my Spider tool. My only complaint is the magnetic ball mark. I've lost a couple, and the ridge on the cap prevents normal sized ball markers from fitting(the Spider ball marker is smaller). They're cheap to buy replacements so it's really just an annoyance.

I used to use the SC pivot tool but it's really light and find I prefer something with a little more heft to it. Not gonna fork over $400 for a stainless steel SC pivot tool

So I'm with a few guys here, switched to a Tyson Lamb divot tool and much prefer the weight and feel. Plus with it being made of copper, it should age well.

Why do you guys prefer a heavy divot tool? Wouldn't it be nicer not to carry such a heavy thing in your pocket the whole round?

I too carry a stainless tool with some heft to it

I just like the heft of it, and feel like the aluminum ones etc are just too light

Not really a great explanation, but just a personal preference

I like the ones that have a clasp on the back so I can slide it on my pocket. It doesn't go all the way into the pocket and I don't have to fumble for it.

I use a trade-show give-away that has a built-in carabiner and magnetic ball marker... clips to the towel loop when not in play, I promise not to my belt loop during the round lest I be crucified in the "hack accessories" thread.

Support the site and grab one of the golfwrx ones. Real strong magnet too so I'm not digging around for a marker either.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've got some beauties, including a switchblade, but the one I use most is the simple brass-colored one.

The genuine Swiss Army golf knife with ball marker and divot tool is a little over-the-top.
