Attending Web.Com Event

Thinking of taking in a few days (Saturday/Sunday) at the Nashville Golf Open this year since I'll be traveling close by the area around the same time. Has anyone ever been to this event and/or a Web.com event and can share their experience? I've been to a few professional golf events on the PGA TOUR (PGA Championship in 2014 and the 2015 Senior PGA Championship) and I figure the crowds will be much, much smaller. I know tickets are super cheap, but just wanted to gauge the views of people on the board if attending a Web.Com event is worth the experience.

You'll love it. Its very professionally set up and organized. Fewer crowds more intimate setting and always at funky courses.

As lowheel stated, the crowds are not that of a PGA event which allows one to get much closer to the ropes and the Players, though it is set-up and run extremely professionally and your will see some great golf with your Top Players being comparable to the lower end of the PGA Tour and quite a few of the Players have Played multiple Tour events, with many, like Richard's good friend, having had their PGA card for many years and won events. In answer to your question, if you like world class golf, you'll love a Web.com event! Have fun :) Madison

I will 2nd and 3rd what was said above, only to add the Nashville course is probably the worst course they play all year, and it will be HOT.

There are a few areas on the course where you can sit and relax and watch some good golf, but for the most part the course is generally not spectator friendly.

Agree with all the above posts, plus if those 2 are the only events you have attended, both being Major Championships, you will definitely find this experience much more "spectator friendly." Going from crowds that were probably 5-10 deep around most tees and greens to being 1 of usually only a handful of spectators right on the ropes, aka up close and personal. And the talent is right there with the best in the world, a mix of up and comers battling to make it the Tour for the first time and guys that have played and in some cases, won on the regular Tour. Top 125 exempt from yr to yr on Tour, 25 move up from this Tour each yr....so even though they may not be the top 100 golfers in the world, the argument certainly can be made that you are up close, watching guys that are still the #'s 150-300 give or take, best golfers on the planet. Certainly worth a watch, and a bargain, if you are a golfer or a golf fan.
