Not golf related, but I finished this build tonight. Now just need to finish the organization.

Two sets finished. Callaway Apex Ut 21, 24 and 5-pw Razr Mb irons shafted with DGS300 shafts. 13 Xforged returned to stock with 5.5 PXI shafts. Love em both.

Pulled and reshafted 3 of my SM5's - 46 (bent to 47) put a Project X 6.5, 54 and 58 X-100.

Just shafted two older shafts with Callaway adaptors to try in an XR head:

 

1. Fujikura Rombax W-60 Stiff

2. Graman Limey 540 Stiff

 

Both will play a shade over 44 Inch. I added a 5 gr. Tipweight to get close to C9-D0. But most likely I will hotmelt the head to 203 gr to achieve a slightly higher swingweight at the end.

Reshafted my metal-x 7cs with black stepless, and put a new superstroke grip. 777cs just got shafted, but waiting on the epoxy to fully cure before gripping. Love the look of both of them.

I took the name badge out of my Maltby KE4 Tour HDI head. Also painted the weight black. For me, it plays better with a slightly flatter lie, still trying to tune it in.

 

Update : I took this to the range yesterday and hit a few. With the vent hole in the back, it whistles when you swing it. Kind of distracting. I'll put a piece of lead tape over it.

Resurrecting an old thread. Since I couldn't get an offer for them on the BST, i went an re-shafted a set of TM TP Combo irons, 4-PW. While my golfing is sporadic at best, will be fun to give them a shot again. While the jacked loft game is not new or hidden, odd to look at a 6i in my current XR irons to be 26° and the 5i in the TM is 27°. A club 'stronger' and a degree weaker. I remember these things feeling like butter on a middled shot, will be good to feel it again, at some point when I try to play them.

Just installed a Tour AD DJ 6s on my Taylormade R15.

Out walking a late 9 this week, stop to get a drink of water on the 13th hole and see a Karsten TR Zing putter with the shaft broken, sitting in the trash can next to the water cooler. This will be my next project. Shaft and grip are already on order from Golfworks.

Bought some Cobra F7 One Lengths to try, and figured since diamondtour has some cobra heads, I picked up a couple of the 3-4 hybrid heads, to play one as a 3 and one as 4 hybrid. Just went the 'cheap' stock route and picked up the bio cell shafts that diamond tour has.The epoxy has pretty much set up, but they are chilling overnight and I will snap a couple pictures, and then I plan to put them into play tomorrow morning.

 

Hopefully a head doesn't go flying off ;)

TEE EX10 beta 16.5 with a matrix 8M2 firm 249 cpm

 

Tip trimmed 1-3/4” and butt trimmed to 42” playing length

 

Lead taped to a D2.5 or so

 

Got to the course Friday for a competitive outing without ever having hit it

 

Swung the club at steeplechase, and they have are mats with nets

 

Club felt weird swinging it, nothing like my other fairway builds in the same shaft

 

I didn’t have a 4 wood backup just a 5 wood, and that wasn’t going to be long enough for this course

 

Took one strip of the 4 strips of lead tape off while going to the first tee

 

First par 4 at steeplechase is relatively short and somewhat narrow with a little jog left, fairway for me off of the teee

 

Focused on making a full turn and turned through and I crushed the draw with a high ball flight drawing slightly

 

Found ball in the fairway 80 yards from the hole

 

Success!

 

Phew, that was stressful!

Took a Srixon u45 20 installed a 4 iron shaft and grind down the back of the club to get my my d2.5 sw

 

Also took my Rbz stage 2 hybrid 18 cut it down added head weight installed the old school v2 shaft and boom perfect yardage gap filled !!!

Yesterday,

Built a set demo 7 iron for senior fellow. Wishon 771csi, KBS MAX 80, and Golf Pride CP2 midsize grip. Looked amazing, should feel amazing today at his range session.

2 attempts at counterweighting / lead taping my driver to add some stability. Couldn't get the feel that I wanted, so I ended up putting the grip back on the same way that I started.
