Who should i send in my TeI3 to?

I have a TeI3 Sante Fe that came into my hands very beaten. I have stripped what was left of the finish and most all the rust... just sitting here ready to go. I can't decide on who shall revive this stick. I've seen many peoples work and all of it is amazing.

 

I'm wanting an oil can, torch finish, pearl or something similar. Or I'm thinking about coating it and leaving the insert copper. Even thinking about a beach/sound-slot.

 

If anyone has had any work done by any of the fine restorers here, please post your pics and tell me about your experiences.

Sorry for the bad pics but I am at school and cant take any other.... This is my TEI3 that I had done at BOS. The work is awesome and customer service was great! I would recommend them for sure for a quality job!

looks pretty shiney... i guess they can make a carbon look glossy... I dont think a stainless pro plat. can get that shiney.

 

Im thinking about sending my scratch wedges to them. What finish do you guys think I should get? Im sure they will all wear pretty fast with wedges. Especially on the sole and face.

 

Do you guys know if torching a scratch wedge is doable and if the color will last longer?

I e-mailed him last week but unfortunately have not heard back from him. He is probably super busy with the reputation he has on the forum.

 

I wanted to get his no maintenance black oxide finish.

is patina oil the same color as an oil can? ive looked at thier slide shows and either they mis-labeled a few of the putter finishes or my eyes are really getting bad.

 

what do you think about the chocolate patina? how would that look on a tei3????

For the TeI3's, no question, I'll always send them back to Scotty. They look factory fresh and they do a wonderful job of getting the dings out without the loss of headweight.

Thats what i was leaning towards.

 

I'm always the first to say 'Send it to Scotty' but the resto's on these are 50 bucks more and i never plan on getting rid of this one. Plus Scotty won't put that finish on... or do a nickel or platinum where the insert is left original copper.

 

 

My Napa will not be handeled by anyone other than Scotty. Picked her up with a few dings. My wife customized my Studio Select for my Christmas present this year. Amazing work done there. I just dont have the scratch to let Scotty do the TeI3.

BOS did all of Cameron's refinishes, prior to him realizing he could do it himself and charge 4 times the amount and get the same results offered by BOS.

 

You have more than BOS as an option to get the work done, but they are without a doubt one of the best when it comes to this type of work.
